Tarabo Secondary in Okapa, EHP to host 2026 Student Easter Camp

Lutheran students from secondary, tertiary and primary schools around the country are preparing to gather at Tarabo, Okapa, for the 2026 National Lutheran Students Easter Bible Camp from April 3 to 6.

The camp will bring together young people from Lutheran agency schools and other participating schools for worship, Bible study and fellowship.

“The camp is a wonderful opportunity for students to grow in Christ and build lasting friendships with other fellow young Christians,” said National Youth Director Tony Kundang.

This year’s camp will follow the 2026 ELCPNG National Synod theme, “We Are Free, Stand Firm” from Galatians 5:1, which will guide the church over the next two years until the next Synod in 2028. Bible studies and reflections during the camp will help students explore the theme’s key message that in Christ, freedom is already given. It is not that believers will be free, but that they are free through Christ and are called to stand firm in that faith despite the many issues and challenges around them. The Easter story strongly reflects this message.

Students will take part in group discussions and fellowship activities guided by teachers and youth leaders to help them grow in faith and unity.

Schools have been encouraged to ensure students are fully prepared, including completing signed parental or guardian consent forms before attending.
