Condolence Message for the Family of the Late Mr. Albert Levi
On behalf of the New Britain New Ireland Mission family—our pastors, ministers, health workers, teachers, and administrative staff—we extend our deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Mr. Albert Levi of Dagi Seventh-day Adventist Church, Kimbe.
Mr. Levi was a faithful member, a committed elder, and a respected professional who served the Church with humility, dedication, and unwavering loyalty. Though originally from Matupit, East New Britain Province, he lived most of his life in Kimbe, where he became a pillar of strength and leadership within the Dagi SDA Church and a supportive friend to both the West New Britain family and the New Britain New Ireland Mission.
We are deeply saddened by the tragic circumstances that led to his passing. The attack on his home, which resulted in severe injuries and his eventual admission to Kimbe General Hospital, is a painful reminder of the brokenness of this world. Today, we mourn the loss of a father, husband, grandfather, elder, and a true servant of the Lord.
To Mrs. Rose Mary Levi, a former member of the NBNIM Executive Committee, and to the entire Levi family, please accept our sincere sympathy during this time of great sorrow. There are moments in life that are beyond our understanding, and the loss of a faithful and dedicated servant like Elder Levi is one of them. As a Church, we feel this loss deeply. Our greatest asset is our people, and losing a committed leader is a significant blow to our mission and fellowship.
Yet, even in this valley of grief, we hold firmly to the promises of God.
Psalm 34:18 reminds us:
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
And we find hope in 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17, which assures us of the blessed resurrection morning when “the dead in Christ shall rise first.” Elder Levi lived his life in faith, and we are confident that he rests in the blessed hope of Christ’s soon return.
As a Mission, we ask all NBNIM workers, churches, and families to uphold the Levi family in prayer, and to support them in whatever ways we can during this difficult time. May God’s comfort, peace, and healing surround you all.
May the Lord strengthen you, keep you, and carry you through the days ahead.
With deepest sympathy and Christian love,
New Britain New Ireland Mission Administration
