Last Friday, the faith leaders came together for their end-of-month meeting at Goshipa.

As part of the program, they held a dedication prayer for a new concrete mixer, wheelbarrow, and the foundation of a new church.

The meeting also included updates on the Unggai-Bena Baptist Pastors & Preachers Outreach Program at Segeya Village and Rintebe Secondary School, as well as discussions on their respective and collective work across the district.

We are not simply building classrooms. We are helping prepare the next generation of pastors for Papua New Guinea.

Goroka Baptist Bible College has spent decades training national leaders to preach the Word, plant churches, and bring the gospel to communities that have never had a faithful shepherd. The fruit has been real. But the need is far greater than the current campus can meet.

The next phase of the GBBC expansion will provide two new classroom buildings and faculty housing for professors, creating space for more students to be trained and sent across the nation.

When Pastor Rex Sombe left the clinic in Papua New Guinea for the last time, his final words were praise for every soul the gospel had reached. Days later, he was gone. His pulpit stood empty.

Kokinaga Baptist Church recently celebrated its 19th Anniversary Fellowship, marking nearly two decades of faithful ministry in the community. The church was honored to welcome Missionary James Rolda from Cambodia as the guest speaker for the anniversary celebration.

For many years, Preacher Popsy and his family have faithfully led and ministered to the church. As a strategic member of the Unggai-Bena Faith Leaders Association Inc., he works alongside his congregation and the surrounding communities to advance God's work throughout Kokinaga and neighboring villages.

The Unggai-Bena Faith Leaders Association is blessed to have a young leader like Popsy, whose dedication, servant leadership, and commitment continue to make a positive and lasting impact through the church's ministry and community outreach programs.

Churches are key institutions and gatekeepers within our communities. Yet everything they do is ultimately for God, not for human recognition. They depend entirely on God's provision to sustain their ministries and serve His people.

One such example is Bethsaida Baptist Church in Unggai-Bena District, led by Pastor Cliff Dickson and Preacher Frank. Every year, the church goes the extra mile by organizing an annual missions program dedicated to supporting local pastors and preachers across the Lower Bena area.

Bethsaida Baptist Church held this year's event two weeks ago. As part of its mission to strengthen and encourage churches, pastors, and preachers, the congregation provided food, financial assistance, and essential household items to pastors and preachers serving throughout the area.

This initiative reflects the church's commitment to caring for those who faithfully dedicate their lives to God's work, often with limited resources and little recognition.

Groundbreaking Ceremony for Christian Academy Classroom – Exodus Baptist Church, Lampo

Last Friday marked a significant milestone for the Christian Academy of Exodus Baptist Church in Lampo as the church community & faith leaders gathered to witness the groundbreaking ceremony for a new classroom facility.

For the past nine years, the school has operated under challenging conditions, initially using temporary structures made from locally available bush materials, including banana leaves, before later relocating to classrooms within the Exodus Bible Institute. The groundbreaking ceremony symbolized the beginning of a new chapter for this important ministry.

Following the monthly district meeting held the previous evening, church leaders, members, and supporters gathered for a brief but meaningful groundbreaking and dedication ceremony. The new classroom facility will provide a safer and more conducive learning environment for more than 50 students currently enrolled in the Christian School Ministry.

The ceremony concluded with a special prayer of dedication, committing the project, the students, and the future of the ministry to God's guidance and blessing.
