On that cross, Jesus wasn’t just a man suffering He was the living Word of God being poured out for us. Every stripe, every wound, every drop of blood was speaking; mercy, forgiveness, redemption. The same Word that spoke creation into existence chose to be broken so we could be made whole.

The blood of Jesus is not just a moment in history it is power still alive today. It washes, it restores, it covers, it speaks a better word over our lives than sin ever could. Where there was shame, His blood says freedom. Where there was death, His blood says life.

This Easter, don’t just remember the cross receive what it purchased. You are redeemed, you are covered, you are His. The Word became flesh, and the flesh was pierced for all to be redeemed.

✨CHAPTER 38✨
I’m so thankful for the breath in my lungs and another day to praise God. I love writing about my love for Jesus, and the whispers of the Holy Spirit that come to my heart. On this Holy Week I wanted to share with you something I wrote 💕

-

A crown of thorns pressed into Your brow
humiliation piercing deeper than the thorns themselves.
Blood ran down the face of mercy,
the Holy One mocked by the world He came to save.

Yet in the purest crimson flow of love
my blinded eyes were lifted.
The lies I carried fell away,
and Your voice broke through the darkness
calling me Yours.

Where shame once crowned my life,
You placed a crown of glory.

Freedom.
Restoration.
Holiness rising from ashes.

You call me beautiful.
Worthy.
Beloved.

I was once broken
sin-stained, ashamed,
certain that death should have been my end.

But Your pierced hands rewrote my story.

Now forgiven,
my soul will forever gaze upon Your majesty.
My being cries out to commune with You.
To be with You
is to know love itself.

Holy are You, Jesus
perfect in beauty,
the spotless Lamb
and the mighty Lion.

The purest love the world has ever known.

The meaning of my life is to love You
and to be loved by You.

If March felt heavy… it might’ve been holy.

Like the quiet, holy undoing of what once fit, but no longer carries the weight of where God is taking me.

Old wineskins don’t stretch into new seasons.
They break. And so He, in His kindness, begins to strip away what can’t hold what’s coming.

There is power in proximity to God.
There is strength in staying close,
even when He’s asking you to release what’s familiar.

Because what He pours is new.
And it requires a heart that’s been softened,
reshaped, made ready.

So if this month felt like pruning,
like pressure,
like parts of you were being peeled back….

maybe it wasn’t destruction.

Maybe it was preparation.

And maybe the nearness of God is the very thing carrying you into what’s next.

Hosanna. A word we often sing, but one that was first cried out from a place of deep need. It means, save us now. On this day, they ran to meet Him waving palm branches, lifting their voices, declaring Him King. Yet even in their praise, many misunderstood Him. They longed for a conquering King, the one who would overthrow, establish, and reign with visible power. But Jesus came lowly. He came gentle. He came to save in a way they didn’t expect. And still He came.

Palm Sunday invites us to examine our own hearts. Do we only praise Him when He looks like what we hoped for? When He answers the way we imagined? When His ways feel victorious to us? Or do we still cry Hosanna when He moves in humility, in silence, in ways we don’t understand? Because Hosanna is more than a celebration it is a surrender. It is the honest confession of a heart that knows: I cannot save myself, but You can.

Today, I don’t want to just lift my voice in praise I want to lay my life down in surrender. Like the palm branches laid before Him, I lay down my expectations, my control, and my need to understand. And I say again: Hosanna. Save me in every place I still try to hold together on my own. Jesus, You are not just the King I celebrate you are the King I surrender to. Have all of me. 🤍

Spring is here… and with it comes a reminder I needed deeply; God brings dead things back to life 🌿

What once felt dormant, dry, or even forgotten is not beyond His reach. Just like the earth begins to bloom again, He is able to breathe fresh life into our hearts, our faith, and every area we’ve surrendered to Him.

If this past season felt heavy, quiet, or even hidden… don’t lose heart. God does some of His most beautiful work underground before anything ever blooms.

This is your reminder: you are not stuck; you are being renewed.

Lord, let this be a season of new life, fresh hope, and deeper intimacy with You. Amen 🤍

Juan and I are excited to share that we will be returning to Yurimaguas, Peru in June!🤍🇵🇪

Over the past few months, the Lord has been speaking so clearly to us about the call on our lives—to go into the world and make disciples (Matthew 28:19). This isn’t just something we believe… it’s something we feel deeply called to live out.

This trip will be different. It’s stretching us in new ways and inviting us into deeper obedience and leadership.

Juan and I will both visit prisons and get to share the love of God. We will be praying, and most importantly, serving. Serving the people of Peru. Serving alongside the Peruvian team. Loving, listening, and bringing the hope of Jesus to those who feel forgotten.

Our hearts beat for the nations.
For the lost.
For the broken… just like we once were.

And it is only by the grace of God that we now get to go back and pour out what He has so freely given to us.

We can’t do this alone.

It’s humbling to say this, but we are in need of both financial support and prayer covering as we step into this call.

If you feel led to partner with us, you can give here:
https://www.riseupandshineperu.com/give
(You can type in either my name or Juan’s name in the box)

More than anything, we ask for your prayers that the Lord would move powerfully, that hearts would be transformed, and that we would walk in complete obedience and love.

Thank you for partnering with us. ❤️

March, I surrender you to the Lord.
Every unknown and every step.

May this month be marked by renewal, restoration, and deeper intimacy with Jesus.

Pray this with me. 🤍

Holiness is not a moment, it’s a separation.
Not perfection, but consecration.

We want the fire of God, but He rests on altars
and altars require sacrifice.

The Lord has been teaching me that the life that bears His presence is the life set apart. The hidden pursuit produces a visible glory. The quiet obedience shapes a holy heart.

Consecration turns a heart into a dwelling place.

“Be holy, for I am holy.” — 1 Peter 1:16

This month reminded me:
God is far more concerned with who I am becoming than what I am producing.

Holiness is formed in the secret place.

There are prayers we keep asking God to answer, and then there are places in our heart He keeps asking us to surrender.

We want breakthrough, freedom, healing, clarity which is good, but God isn’t moved at the volume of our striving, Ive learned that God moves at the depth of our humility. God is more concerned with the posture of our hearts and pride fights for control while humility releases it.

Pride says, “God bless what I’m doing,” but humility says, “God undo what I’m doing and teach me Your way.” That’s the place most of us avoid because surrender feels like loss before it feels like freedom. Yet humility is not weakness, it is agreement with truth. It’s the moment you stop defending what God is trying to heal, the moment you stop explaining away conviction, the moment you stop negotiating obedience.

Breakthrough is not born when God finally gives you what you want it’s born when you finally trust Him enough to let Him be Lord. Lord, not assistant. Lord, not advisor. Lord. When He becomes Lord over your reactions, your offenses, your desires, your plans, chains start falling. Freedom doesn’t come from being in control, it comes from being surrendered.

God resists the proud not because He is harsh, but because pride keeps us holding the very thing He came to free us from. But to the humble He gives grace, and grace is where breakthrough lives.

So today I’m asking myself first: where am I still protecting something God is asking me to place on the altar? The door to breakthrough is low we only enter it on our knees.

Time doesn’t automatically make us mature in Christ… obedience does.

I’ve learned that years in church, years reading the Bible, even years loving God what transforms me is when I say yes when the Holy Spirit whispers.
“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” (James 1:22)

Maturity is formed in the small surrenders; forgiving when I want to hold on, trusting when I want control, choosing holiness when comfort feels easier.
“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” (John 14:15)

God isn’t looking for perfection He’s looking for yielded hearts.
“Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God.” (Romans 12:1)

The life we cling to is often the very thing keeping us from the life He promised. But every time we lay down our will, something eternal grows inside of us. We become free, steadier, and more anchored in Him.

Real growth happens when obedience costs something… and we choose Him anyway.

“Not my will, but Yours be done.” (Luke 22:42)

Happy Valentine’s Day to the love of my life and my best friend.

Marriage isn’t about convenience it’s about covenant.
And through every high and every valley, I would still choose you.

I admire the man of God you are. Your integrity. Your tenderness. The way you lead our home with strength and humility. Loving you has made me better, softer, stronger, and more anchored in Christ.

Juan, forever isn’t long enough with you.
Thank you for choosing me back every single day.

Glory to God for our love story ❤️
