Our hearts are both breaking and rejoicing as our sweet friend entered into the presence of his savior today. What a privilege to watch the transformation of his life. We we're blessed beyond measure to see him wholeheartedly embrace the gospel and become ordained as an elder in the church. Please pray for Iglesia Comunidad de Cristo as they celebrate Christ's redemptive work while at the same time grieving the loss of a spiritual leader and dear friend.

Today was a milestone for Iglesia Comunidad de Cristo. The election of our first Elders. The first concgregational meeting and first time voting for almost all of the members. God is good.

People always ask what a typical day is like in Panama...I'm not sure this is normal but this is the last week and a half in photos. Celebrating Thanksgiving with 60 of our friends and family here, celebrating November Birthdays at church, going to the movies with some of the youth group kids and their families, a despedida (goodbye party) for a family who is moving to Mexico and today lunch with the elder candidates and their families and the first examination of our candidates. It had been a busy and blessed week and a half!!!

Iglesia Comunidad de Cristo has a new home. We are now meeting in a school and for the first time have classrooms for our kiddos and A/C for all. We are grateful for this opportunity. Please continue to pray for wisdom for us as we navigate the need for space for a ever growing congragation in an area with high rentals and spaces that are not ideal for a church.

Pictures from a full day in the life of the church. Starting with saying goodbye to a sweet lady who has been quietly faithful and will be missed. One of the hard things about planting a church with a large immigrant population is sometimes Panama is a stopping point to another country. People are in transition. For some Panama will be home but for others they will look for another place they believe they can survive and even thrive. We are grateful for the time we have them and so sad when they move but we pray they leave with a solid understanding of the gospel and are able to share that hope in a new place. Yesterday was bittersweet. A goodbye but also seeing people step into new roles of leadership. God is good.

Highlighting our elder candidates. It was a blessing to watch as each one played a part in today's service. William preached, Franklin shared the announcements, Daniel prayed for the offering and Juan read scripture and led the Apostles Creed. Please pray for these men who are undertaking a difficult course of study as well as being involved in many of the weekly ministries of.the church. We are grateful for their sacrifice and committment. As well as these faces upfront their were countless others today who arranged chairs, cleaned bathrooms, made coffee and executed all the countless detailes involved in a small church plant. We are humbled by God's amazing provision and goodness.

Feliz Semana Santa!! It was a busy week with a seder on Thursday and a women's get together tonight and tomorrow a day of worshipping our resurrected Savior. Feliz dia de resurecion!
