We had another very good day at the university. Becky was talking with a young lady who is studying to be a doctor. During their conversation Becky had the opportunity to share the Gospel with her and she asked jesus to be her Savior.
Jeremey & I talked at length with a youngman that is an athiest. We had talked with him a couple of weeks ago and he came back to talk with us agin. We talked at length about the Bible and the Gospel. It was a great conversation and it has opened the door for us to be talking with him again. Pray for us to have the opportunity to talk with both of these students again as well as other students at the university.

We had a great day talking with the students at the University. We talked with one young man named Bryan. Our conversation opened the door for us to tell him that God loved him and sent Jesus to save him from his sin and give him eternal life. Bryan asked Jesus to be his savior and then told us that he believed that God led him to us because he does not usually come to the area we are in. Bryan wants to receive the daily Bible verse we send out. He also come to church on Sunday and wants to come to the Bible study we are starting for university students. We are so thankful that God sent Bryan our way and the work that He did in his life.

Becky, Aaron, Kirby, and I hope that all our family, friends, and ministry partners have a blessed Christ-filled Christmas and New Year. Eat a lot, spend time with family and friends. Most of all, take the time to remember that it is God's gift to us of His Son that is the MOST important part of all that we celebrate. We pray that God blesses your new year with a deeper knowledge of who Jesus is and a closer walk with the One who loves us.
Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, 10but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. 11The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! 12And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.”
13 Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying,14“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.” Luke 2:9-14

We are praising God for all He is doing. He is on the move, and we have a number of PRAISE reports for you this update!

Puerto Rico

We have huge praise for the ministry in Puerto Rico. We have met with the Dean, and we are approved to distribute food on campus to the students. In fact, they are excited about us being there to offer food and work with the students.

We are now putting together the ministry team and working on getting the necessary food to distribute. We are praising God for this open door!

We are still meeting people on the Coast Guard Base and are hoping to start the group in late October.

We have the Bi-vocational Pastors ministry on hold for now. With getting the food distribution ministry and Coast Guard ministry up and running, we felt it would be wise to wait a month or two to start this.

Panama

We have a praise for the Panama ministry. We are back at one school for sure. At Palmira, we have been given the opportunity to teach the Bible to second grade through sixth grade students in one session, and then seventh grade through high school students in a second session.

At the Volcancito school, the director wants us to teach the Bible to the whole school. This would be on campus, after school. The director wants to make sure that this is alright with Meduca, and he will ask the bus drivers to come later to accommodate the students needing a ride.

Our move went smoothly, and we are grateful for that.

Please pray for Becky as she is having heart flutters. They do not believe this is A-fib but more stress-related and are running some tests.

Aaron

Aaron is working on the basketball team and helping with the food distribution and Coast Guard ministry. He is doing well but gets a little frustrated when things do not go as fast as he thinks they should.

Please Pray for:

We need a new laptop – the one we have is dying. Update: PRAISE, we have a new laptop!
Now we need a new printer for the ministry in Panama; the one we have been using wore out!!! We print coloring pages, Bible lessons, song sheets, and much more on a weekly basis for the Bible Clubs
Pray for Aaron to have the wisdom he needs to start and coach the team
Pray for our move to be a smooth one. Update: PRAISE, the move went well.
The wisdom to know when to start, meet the needs of bi-vocational pastors, and how to get them involved
We are still trying to make contact with the person we need to talk to at the university. Please pray that we can meet this week and get approval to be on campus. Update: PRAISE, we have made contact and are approved!
Pray that we can get the food we need to distribute to the university students who need it
Pray that the students, those in the Coast Guard, and our community in Aguadilla will be open to hearing and responding to the Gospel
Pray we will find favor and that Meduca will allow Journey Ministries to teach the Bible at the schools in Panama. Pray for the wisdom to work through this situation. Update: PRAISE, we now have 2 schools with after- school clubs.
Pray we will continue to see open doors to reach children with the Gospel in Panama and that all the details will be worked out for the after-school Club Biblicos
Pray that our new house will be a ministry center for university students, those from the Coast Guard base, and our neighbors
Please pray for our health AND FOR NEW HEALTH INSURANCE. Humana is pulling out of Puerto Rico
Pray for the ministry to the Coast Guard base – that we will meet people who will want to come to Connections
Pray for the money we need for our support, the purchase of food, and the new ministries!
Pray that we get new individuals and churches who will partner with Journey Ministries by praying for us, possibly coming and serving in Panama and Puerto Rico, and giving financially

Hurricane season is here and we have one coming our way in Puerto Rico. Right now we’re on the very outer edge of it. Please pray for Puerto Rico that the hurricane would miss us and that there wouldn’t be major flooding from the rain.

There’s been a huge earthquake off the coast and we are under a tsunami watch. Please pray that it doesn’t hit and that everyone will be OK.

This is a Club Biblico that meets at a bus stop on the side of the road. There are 50-60 Ngabe adults and children that come to hear the Good News of Jesus's love for them.
