We used to do these little Christmas carol events at the Whangarei town basin with a guitar and a few of us singing, then with the Taylors and friends with their instruments, but this year we did this. It is humbling to see what God can do.

I'm trying to explore the deeper themes of what is going in in the world at present. I like this article. Always loved the work of Wendell Berry and this writer brings out some great thoughts that help us to move past binary categories and see a broader narrative.

Hello Hubbers, Nathan and I have just finished watching The Chosen. I personally found it truly life-changing. And I don't say that lightly. If anyone hasn't seen it I highly recommend it! This Sunday evening we are starting a book study on Building Bounce. This is great stuff, and helpful for all ages. There is an intro video here where the authors discuss why the wrote this. There are limited places, so please contact us (Clive McKegg and Michael Taylor) if you want more details. Michael and Lisa will be leading this. Hi all. Nathan here. I don't know how to post as me, it's only letting me post as the HUB, but there we go. I have recently launched a YouTube channel that I thought might interest you guys. In a nutshell, my studies have lead me to an intellectual movement in the 19th century that tried to rethink faith in light of the scientific developments of that time, such as Darwin's theories of evolution. From what I have read I think they put forward the seeds from which an intellectual foundation for faith could be drawn. Once my PhD is done I hope to pursue this in more detail, and the YouTube channel will be the place I communicate my research and ideas as I go. Please let people that you think will enjoy it know about it, and subscribe to the channel if you can. And I'd love to have input from all you precious thinking people along the way. Hi Hubbers, Charlotte here. Can I please ask you as a church family to pray for our UK leader Boris Johnson. He has just been taken to intensive care due to Corona virus. I am really saddened to hear this, and worried. He has been strengthening the country after Brexit as well as through this Corona virus. We need our leader more than ever right now. This Friday 20th December at 6:00pm the event formerly known as Free Range Christmas Carols is happening again! This year on the steps at the Town Basin (outside the cafes areas). Bring chairs etc. Invite people. The full strings/brass/wind ensemble will be leading songs for about an hour 😜. See ya there!
