Kia ora Bethel Whānau,
We love gathering together as the saints—but for this Sunday, we are choosing to be safe rather than sorry.
Our in-person Service is CANCELLED.
Instead, we’ll host a short devotional online via our page where you can join in and say hello from the safety of your homes.
👉 Join us at 10am Sunday (subject to power and internet) here:

As shared previously, we are following Civil Defence Northland guidance, which is clear in asking people to avoid all unnecessary travel—especially on our flood-prone roads.
Our primary reason for cancelling is simple: to keep our people safe (especially on the roads).
In the meantime, let’s be the church:
- Who do you know who may be feeling anxious or vulnerable ahead of this storm?
- Who could you check in on—especially someone in a flood-prone or exposed area?
A simple message, prayer, or practical help could make a real difference.
If you’re aware of someone who may need help preparing, please act early—before conditions worsen.
Remember—we are the church, not just our Sunday Services.
Sundays are a vital and strategic part of who we are—but they’re only one part of our wider disciple-making life throughout the week at Bethel NZ.
My encouragement: be the church during this storm.
Stay safe. Reach out to the vulnerable. Pray. I know all will be well.
“Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy.” — Psalm 82:3–4
I believe in you.
Andy
