Yesterday the youth and some of the children from Kids Church came along to a prayer workshop. We were learning to pray of others. This Sunday coming on the 17th the youth and children who want to, are able to join me as we pray for adults in our church service. If your kids missed church this week and they would like to participate, then check out the notes from our prayer workshop to see what we learnt. Pray for one another in your family.

We have an intermediate youth event coming up. And we are inviting all year 5 and 6 students to join in with our intermediate youth nights. We will be meeting in the upper lounge at Christ Church. This is a great event to bring your friends.

We enjoyed learning about and talking about following Jesus on Sunday. We played a game called "Kingdom or Not". We read a statement and had to decide if we thought it would be happening in God's Kingdom or not. Statements like "Letting someone join your game." Sometimes its challenging to be open enough to let anyone join in our game. If we are following Jesus and doing things his way, would we let them join in? Would we let anyone join in? And in our year 5 and 6 small group we found it challenging to think about this statement...."You’re nice to someone but secretly don’t like them". We were torn. Half the group thought that it was okay to be nice to someone but secretly not like them. The other half thought you would need to be nice to someone and start to like them too. What do you think?

On Sunday we announced our Memory Verse Challenge for Kids @ Christ Church. Details and this weeks verse is in the photos. He Kākāno (our little people) have a verse for the whole term. God is Love. You will see if the fine print that we are earning points together as a whole group, for the whole group to attend the Ice Cream Sunday event. We will have the memory verse for two weeks and on each week kids can recited the verse from Memory and gain a point each week. For adults who are convinced to join in, they earn 2 points for the group.
