Day 9 – Continuous Prayer
⏰ Thy Kingdom Come – Day 9
What if prayer never stopped?
Across the world, people are setting aside time to pray—hour by hour—creating a rhythm of continuous prayer through Thy Kingdom Come.

Whether it’s one hour today or joining with others to cover a whole day, every moment matters.
🌙 Early morning
☀️ Lunchtime
🌃 Late at night
God hears it all.
You could even join with another church or community to keep the prayer going.
When will you take your moment to pray today?

Day 8 – Creative Prayer Outreach
💛 Thy Kingdom Come – Day 8
Prayer isn’t just something we do—it’s something we can share.
There are so many creative ways to invite others into prayer during Thy Kingdom Come:
✨ Offer prayer in your local community
📬 Deliver prayer postcards and invite requests
🏡 Open your church for quiet reflection
🎉 Combine prayer with a family-friendly community event

Simple acts. Open doors. Real encounters with God.
Today, ask: How can we make prayer accessible for someone who wouldn’t normally step into church?

Looking for fresh ways to pray? 🙏🌱
This Thy Kingdom Come, we’re inviting you to try something new.

Praying “Come Holy Spirit” doesn’t have to look the same every day. Here are ten creative prayer ideas to help you pray for your five people in meaningful, tangible ways.
✨ Pray with your hands
✍️ Write their names and hopes for them
🚶 Walk and pray through your neighbourhood
💌 Send encouragement
🌻 Plant seeds and watch them grow
🎨 Pray through colour and creativity
🪨 Hold stones as you intercede
💭 Use everyday objects as reminders
🌬️ Breathe simple prayers over each name

These ideas are for anyone wanting to bring fresh energy, focus, and love into their prayers—for friends, family, neighbours, and colleagues who need to know Jesus.

Come Holy Spirit 🙏
Between Ascension and Pentecost, join with us to pray: “Come Holy Spirit.”
This ancient prayer has the power to transform not only us, but our communities and our world. And right now, the world needs the difference only God can bring.

This year, we invite you to pray especially for five people in your life—friends, family, neighbours, colleagues—who need to know the love of God in Christ.

As Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, “The most direct way to others is always through prayer.”
Let’s pray not just for ourselves, but for others.
Let’s pray for God’s Kingdom to come.
Let’s pray: Come Holy Spirit.

Take a look at the digital detox journal on the Thy Kingdom Come page on our website and spend some distraction-free time with Jesus.

It's an encouragement to be still.
We find that stillness is much easier without distractions. And, if you're like us, it's so easy to be distracted!
So, trying to be focused on spending time with God and the Bible each day requires
us to intentionally reduce distractions.
In this case, our phones.

What would happen if every home, every street, and every neighbourhood in our cities and towns were covered in prayer?

Let’s find out!

We are leaning into using the Holy Here prayer app, a tool that encourages us to pray throughout our streets.
