The Wellington Church Network (previously the Council of Wellington Churches) is hosting the annual Carols @ Parliament event on Sunday 7 December from 7-8pm in the Banquet Hall of Parliament. This is a wonderful celebration of Christmas, singing our favorite carols with the Salvation Army Brass Band, and several local choirs, focused on our theme 'Joy to the World'. Come along and join Foreign Dignitaries, Members of Parliament, City Councillors and believers from The Church of Wellington as we gather to worship Jesus, our Saviour. Register to attend by scanning the QR code on the attached flier, or email [email protected] before Sun 25 Nov. Arrive by 6.30pm to get through Parliament Security and be seated by 6.50pm. Please share this page so that others may come along to join us too. See you there!

The first Prayer @ Parliament for 2024 happens on Thursday, April 11th, starting 7:20 PM in the Grand Hall, Parliament Buildings.

Thanks to all those who have registered for the next Prayer@Parliament. If you have yet to do so, we would really love to have you join us as we worship and pray together for our nation and leaders. The cut-off for registration is midnight, Monday, April 8th so to avoid missing out, take a moment and register now.

In addition to our Parliamentary Host, Paulo Garcia, a crucial prayer track will be on the Treaty and how we can pray and engage more effectively as Christians as it is debated in parliament and wider society. This will be led by the Rev Dr Malcolm Falloon from NZ Christian Network.

Please pray for our next gathering as we prepare to come together. In particular, can I urge you to please pray for:

Those who will be leading us in worship as they prepare
For those providing input as they prepare
For church leaders to encourage people to attend
A ‘full house’ as we take up the opportunity to pray in our Parliament!
For those travelling from outside the Wellington region

If you can, could I ask you to actively promote Prayer@Parliament in your circle of influence, including your church and church leaders as the more people who attend, the wider the circle of prayer becomes.

Finally, just a reminder that, as always, an offering will be taken to cover expenses and allow us to bring speakers such as Dr Malcolm Falloon.

Looking forward to seeing you on April 11th. - PLEASE REGISTER NOW!
