🌼 A Memorable Onam Celebration with Our Community 🌼 Hppy Onam🌼🌼
We were delighted to have our Minister Hon. Chris Bishop join the St Mary’s Syro-Malabar Mission Wellington community for our Onam celebration on 8 August 2026.
Having Chris spend time with our families and take part in this important cultural celebration meant a great deal to our community. Thank you, Chris, for joining us and for the genuine interest you continue to show in our growing community. 🙏
The occasion also gave us an opportunity to introduce our Seed of Hope initiative — our collective aspiration to raise $1 million towards the initial deposit for a permanent church and community home in Newlands. 🌱⛪
For our community, this is a significant step towards creating a place where our faith, traditions and sense of belonging can continue to flourish for future generations.
There is a long journey ahead, but with the goodwill and support of our community, friends and leaders, we look forward to making this vision a reality.
