Come along to our Beach Clean & Prayer Walking Service this Sunday! 🌊☕️🙌

This is a meaningful opportunity to put our faith into action as we care for creation and pray for our neighbourhood. We’ll gather at the beach playground at 9:00 am for coffee and croissants, before sharing in a simple liturgy and heading out for our beach clean and prayer walk.

Whether you’re passionate about caring for the environment, praying for our community, or simply keen to spend time together outdoors, we’d love to have you join us.

Coffee and croissants from 9 am, followed by liturgy & beach clean from 9:30 am. Meet at Lyall Parade Playground (opposite The Botanist)

This Sunday is our awesome intergenerational service where all our church whanau stay together for the service to be curious, listen and engage in tactile worship. This week, Abby is leading us in a Godly Play story on Pentecost for us all to engage in. We will then gather for our family meal of eucharist and extend that feast to some birthday cake as LBCC celebrates 8 years as a planted Sunday service. Weehoo! 🎉

This Sunday our wider Renew Communities network gets together for our annual all day hui!

The kaupapa of the day is to deepen our connection across the wider Re-New whānau and learn together around the theme of deep Christian community.

The hui replaces our normal Sunday rhythm of joining the Coastal Care Crew on the first Sunday of the month.  If you aren't coming to hui, and would still like to head to the Beach, they kick off at 10am near the playground.

Join us tomorrow as we lean into our regular intergenerational service. We do this because we believe that both tamariki and adults need and can learn from each other on our journey of faith! We can't wait to celebrate, worship, pray, and break bread together! All that, plus a sausage sizzle and walk down to the school after for longer hangs and chats! 9.45am coffee, kick off 10am!

This Sunday, we launch a new liturgy for six weeks. 'Liturgy' means 'work of the people' and allows for more congregational involvement. The service includes Eucharist (Communion), meaning 'thanksgiving,' with Rev Jax narrating for understanding. Keely will lead the service, and Richard and Rebecca will lead our tamariki space. Lauryn will lead sung worship. Join us at 9:45 am for coffee; we kick off at 10 am!
