Mark your calendars for an upcoming webinar regarding food insecurity on 8 October at 7:30-8:30 p.m, hosted by 'Hands 4 Justice'!

Leaders from Karori Food Bank, Lower Hutt Food Bank, St. Vincent de Paul, and Kaibosh will address issues surrounding food insecurity, the processes for securing food support, the legalese around obtaining and distributing resources to those in need, and how one volunteers or contributes to the organisations supporting those in need.

This Sunday we begin our Season of Creation journey with Forest Sunday. Forests are places of extraordinary life and diversity. As we reflect on forests and our relationship with the natural world, we’ll consider what it means to recognise God’s presence throughout creation and our responsibility to care for it.

Join us for worship at 10 am this Sunday as we celebrate Forest Sunday. The service will include Holy Communion. Following worship, there will be a special Father's Day Lunch.

Come along and see what you can discover among our collection of pre-loved treasures. We’ll have books, household goods, toys, games, puzzles, CDs, DVDs, crafts and plants, plus hot food and community stallholders offering a variety of goods.

Buying second-hand is a simple way to find useful and interesting things while keeping perfectly good items in circulation. You never quite know what you’ll find at a good garage sale , so bring your shopping bag and have a browse!

This Sunday, 6 September, we’ll celebrate Father’s Day with a special lunch following worship. We’ll be celebrating all the men in our lives — fathers, grandfathers, sons, brothers, friends, mentors and those who have been there for us along the way.

Everyone is warmly invited to join us for worship at 10 am and stay for lunch afterwards.

Today marks the beginning of the Season of Creation, a worldwide celebration from 1 September to 4 October, when Christians come together to give thanks for the wonder of God’s creation and reflect on how we can care for our common home. This year, our Sundays will take us through four themes: Forest, Land, Wilderness and River.

Join us this Sunday at 10 am for our Forest Sunday service, followed by a Father’s Day lunch. Everyone is welcome.

Having a clear-out at home? We’d love your pre-loved treasures!

The St Ninian’s Community Garage Sale is happening on Saturday 12 September, 9am–1pm, and we’re currently collecting gently used items for the sale.

If you have household goods, books, toys, games, puzzles, CDs, DVDs, crafts or other things that are no longer needed but still have plenty of life in them, consider passing them on rather than putting them in the bin.

And remember, St Ninian’s is also a donation point for the Karori Food Bank, so you can bring along any non-perishable food items you'd like to donate.
