St Ninians Uniting Parish

St Ninians Uniting Parish We are an inclusive community, accepting all people of peace, irrespective of age, culture or creed.

We are an inclusive community, accepting all people of peace, irrespective of age, race, culture, creed or sexuality. We believe in exploring the Bible with the resources of contemporary scholarship, while at the same time offering loving service to the wider community. We offer a place of warmth and security to worship God and enjoy one another’s company as we journey together on our search for understanding and purpose.

We have a Confirmation class starting this Sunday, 7th June, following worship.
Would YOU like to join - any of you - any age, any history, any denomination, and even if you have been through baptism or confirmation before?

Adapting resources from the Methodist and Presbyterian denominations, the theme for this Confirmation class is "We are Part of God's Story." We will spend about two months getting to know each other and God more deeply, praying together, and growing in our faithful discipleship. At the end of our time together as a class, we will take a worship service at St. Ninian's (or another church if you're part of another congregation) and share our faith stories.

If you have any questions or are interested in this still-forming Confirmation class, please contact Amy at [email protected].

David is a familiar face to the St Ninian's congregation and also to the Karori community. David brings with him a wealth of experience in ministry and chaplaincy.

Please join us in warmly welcoming David — we look forward to all that this season will bring together.

Join us this Sunday, 24 May, as we pray for youth in Aotearoa at our 10 am Pentecost service, led by the youth of St Ninian's.

Young people face many challenges today: anxiety, depression, su***de, addictions, behavioural concerns, eating disorders, community disconnect, discrimination, bullying, climate change, violence, and disconnection from God. We want to walk alongside, pray with, and join our voices with our children and young people in their calls for help, peace, security, and hope.
