This Sunday at Lighthouse we’re jumping into the wild story of Deborah from Judges 4.

Honestly it’s one of the coolest stories in the Bible.
Unexpected leaders, reluctant warriors, a bit of chaos… and God showing up in surprising ways.

It’s basically about courage and trusting God when things feel stacked against you.

We’ve got a sick band this week, full team on, great worship, good hangs and the usual Lighthouse vibes.

Come along, grab a drink, bring a mate if you want.
Would be awesome to see you there.

Sunday 6pm — Lighthouse.

WATCH THE SERVICE HERE: We had a really great Sunday at the Lighthouse. Amazing worship, such a strong sense of God in the room, and just an all-round good night together.

If you missed it, Week 3 of Real Faith was about creating space for God to move in your life. In 2 Kings 4 the oil only kept flowing while there were empty jars — the miracle matched the capacity. Sometimes breakthrough isn’t about striving harder, it’s about making room. The message is up on YouTube now if you want to catch up.

Next week we’re finishing the series. Each Sunday stands alone, so you can jump in at any point, but it’s been building something really solid in people. Would love to see you there, 6–7pm.

Real faith isn’t passive. It prepares. In Week 3 of Elisha, we talk about creating capacity for God to move.In 2 Kings 4, the miracle didn’t stop because God ...

Febuary 8 | Sunday | 6:00pm | Lighthouse Church
What does it look like to follow God when life is ordinary, busy, and demanding? This Sunday night we kick off a brand-new series, Elisha: Grit & the Grind, looking at the ancient story of Elisha and what real faith looks like in everyday life — work, pressure, responsibility, and hard decisions.

In Week One, Burn the Plough, we explore the moment Elisha is called out of the field and why following God sometimes means letting go of safety nets, backup plans, and the things we quietly rely on instead of Him.
This message is for anyone who: Feels stuck in routine; Is navigating big decisions; Wants clarity without hype; Is trying to live out faith in real life, not just Sundays. Come expecting a practical, honest message that connects Scripture to everyday life — and helps you take a next step with confidence.

Yes, it’s a sunrise post!
But at least it means something.

This Sunday (Feb 1) at 6pm, Lighthouse Church is starting the year together.

Vision, direction, and a little “God might be up to something” energy — right here in Wānaka.

New? Old? Unsure? Just visiting?
Perfect. You’re invited.

Come as you are.
Stay as long as you like.
See you Sunday!

(Dec 7) This Sunday night, we’re throwing the doors wide open at 6 PM for an extended worship hang. Think full band, big sound, lots of space to breathe, sing your heart out, and actually slow down for a minute. We’ll have time for prayer, encouragement, and prophetic ministry for anyone who wants it. If you’ve been feeling dry, overwhelmed, or just hungry for God’s presence, this night is for you.

Join us this Sunday (Nov 23) for The Story in the Stones—a night of real stories, real people, and maybe a few awkward moments (our favourite kind). We’ll be picking up stones, sharing what God has done, and building a community “memory pile” that reminds us: God has been faithful.
