Hi Mainly Music families!!! Sadly we will have to cancel tomorrow’s session due to the concerning weather conditions which could make travel dangerous. Sorry to disappoint!!!

BUT we look forward to seeing you NEXT Tuesday (21st February). We hope you all keep safe and dry until then.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Mainly Music families and a warm welcome back for a new year!!! This is just a brief note from your MM Team to let you know we’re keen to see you all again starting Tuesday (7th) at 10:00 (or earlier for a catch up!). Mary and the team have been busy planning a few updates in the program ‘cus we’ve heard that everyone is growing up, gaining new skills, and trying new things - yay!!!!!!!! We’re so looking forward to seeing that!!! Looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday (oh, and P.S. Please bring your book bag from last Christmas, if you got one, for a surprise!!!)

Message of Christmas Wishes from your Mainly Music team:
Well Mainly Music families, sadly we are not meeting again until after the February school year is underway, but the Christmas Season IS here – “Christ’s Mass” – i.e. Jesus' birth - is ACTUALLY what “Christmas” means with its reminder of God’s message of hope, love and support. In that same way some of your Mainly Music team will be around through the season for anyone who wishes to make contact just phone Mary or Linda on (021) 133 2799 or (07) 873 7693.
Blessings to you and your families for Christmas and the New Year and thank you for your support and friendship through the past months!!!

Hello there Mainly Music families. Just to say tomorrow is 13th Dec, our annual Christmas visit to Hillview Retirement Home to entertain and meet the residents, and to remind you of the residents’ vulnerability – hence the RAT Test at the door for us adults. Mary has been given permission for all us adults to take our own RAT Test at home in the morning if desired, and bring the results with us tomorrow (thus saving time at the door).

And a reminder for all adults and school aged children to wear a mask until in the large lounge, then on the way out.

AND on a more positive note, the Home has put up some truly lovely decorations and Christmas scenes – so bring your cameras all you amazing photographers – you’re sure to get some delightful shots!!!

Mums please supply a drink and food for your littlies for this session.

Good morning Mainly Music families! Gosh – we’re nearly at the end of November and the Christmas season is upon us!!! Experience tells us that you will be getting EVEN MORE BUSY over the next few weeks, so below we’ve written down for you the items that MM has scheduled until the end of the year and look forward to seeing you for them:-

29th Nov (this week) - Normal session including Christmas items, then children make “handprint” Santa cards for dads/grandparents.

6th Dec - Normal session including Christmas items,
then a “surprise”!

13th Dec - Annual Christmas visit to Hillview Retirement Home
to entertain and meet the residents – the residents
LOVE this!
(Because of the residents’ vulnerability all adults
and school aged children will need to wear a mask
at entrance and until in the big lounge – then on
again when leaving the lounge
(NOT pre-schoolers!)
- A RAT Test is also available and required to be
taken at the front door for all adults
(NOT children!).
- Mums please supply a drink and food for your
littlies for this session.

20th Dec - Sadly, our last session of the year, but we will
celebrate up-coming Christmas with a special
morning tea!!! (By the way school-aged brothers
and sisters are very welcome too (if they are clear
of coughs and bugs from school!)

Hello Mainly Music families. This Tuesday after the music and snack parts of our session at the Church, we invite you to come with us to visit a local lady who has hens AND new baby chicks!!! It will be great for the children (and mums!!!) to get a close-up look at these little balls of fluff as they scamper around!!!! We look forward to seeing you Tuesday and hope you can join us afterwards too on the “chicken run”!!!

Hi there Mainly Music families!!! Yes!!!! We think tomorrow will be a beautiful day!!!

So, after the music part of our session tomorrow at the Church, you are cordially invited to our house (and paddock!) for morning tea. Please bring something for your child and maybe a small plate to share with the mums - and then onward to feed the sheep and get a close-up look at the new lambs!!!! They are sure at their best right now and jumping and racing around and being very entertaining!!! Mums & children are best to wear gumboots (and maybe a hat for the sun! We look forward to seeing you!!!

Good Morning Mainly Music families!!! – So sorry, but as I stand here at the computer looking outside, I realise the rain means no visit to see the lambs today!!!!
So it will be our usual session at St Luke’s today – and we will keep the “Lamb Day” for another day soon when the weather is more settled.

Creating a Father’s Day Card!!

Don’t worry it will not be too complicated for your little one – we’ve made sure it will be age related to our place – so it will be simple, quick and FUN!!! We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!!!
P.S. Next Tuesday (September 6th) Mainly Music will be inviting Fathers/Grandfathers/Caregivers to join us at a special Mainly Music Fathers’ session for morning tea and to see our children enjoying themselves – more about that tomorrow … this is just a heads up meantime …
