🌱12:00 pm: Offering food (lunch)
🌱Afternoon from 1:00pm to 4:00pm
🙏 The retreat is completely free and welcomes all ages.
🙏 Thien Thai Pagoda serves lunch and drinks.

Lễ QUY Y TAM BẢO VÀ THỌ NGŨ GIỚI - THE THREE JEWELS AND FIVE PRECEPTS CEREMONY

Dưới sự hứa khả của Thượng Tọa Trụ Trì Thích Phước Tấn, chiều 17 tháng 5 năm 2026, tại Chùa Thiên Thai đã diễn ra Lễ Quy Y Tam Bảo cho 8 quý đồng hương.

Under the guidance and approval of Most Venerable Abbot Thích Phước Tấn, on the afternoon of 17 May 2026, the Three Jewels Taking Refuge Ceremony was solemnly held at Thiên Thai for eight members of the Vietnamese Buddhist community.

Chủ Nhật ngày 17 tháng 5 năm 2026, Lễ Phật đản tại chùa Thiên Thai đã được tổ chức trong không khí trang nghiêm, thanh tịnh và thắm đượm tinh thần từ bi, hòa hợp. Buổi lễ là dịp để tăng ni, Quý đồng hương Phật tử cùng nhau tưởng niệm ngày Đản sinh của Đức Phật Thích Ca Mâu Ni, đồng thời lan tỏa những giá trị tốt đẹp về lòng nhân ái, hướng thiện và sống an lành.
Chương trình bắt đầu bằng Lễ Thỉnh Sư, Thượng Tọa Trụ Trì Thích Phước Tấn đã tiến hành tụng kinh Cúng Ngọ, Sám Khánh Đản và thực hiện Nghi Thức Tắm Phật cùng với quý Đồng Hương Phật Tử. Sau đó là bài pháp thoại ngắn Thượng Tọa nói về chủ đề Phật Tánh trong mỗi con người.

On Sunday, 17 May 2026, the Vesak Celebration at Thiên Thai Temple was held in a solemn, peaceful, and compassionate atmosphere filled with harmony and unity. The ceremony provided an opportunity for monks, nuns, and members of the Buddhist community to come together in commemoration of the birth of Gautama Buddha, while also spreading the noble values of compassion, kindness, wholesome living, and inner peace.
The program began with the ceremonial invitation of the monks. The Abbot, Venerable Thích Phước Tấn, led the Noon Offering Chanting, the Vesak Repentance Chanting Ceremony, and the Bathing Buddha Ritual together with the Buddhist devotees and community members. This was followed by a short Dharma talk by the Venerable, focusing on the theme of “Buddha Nature within every human being.”

On Sunday, 1 March 2026 (the 13th day of the first lunar month), under the leadership of Most Venerable Abbot Thích Phước Tấn, Thiên Thai Monastery solemnly held the Full Moon Offering Ceremony of the First Lunar Month (Thượng Nguyên Festival).

Buddhist devotees from the local community, along with local friends, gathered in large numbers to participate. Together, they performed the midday offering ritual and prayed for peace and well-being at the beginning of the new year, followed by a communal vegetarian lunch in the dining hall.

This year’s program also featured Mr. Christ, who generously offered beautiful Vietnamese musical performances. After the ceremony, the Venerable Abbot delivered a Dharma talk to everyone. He expressed his joy at seeing so many people returning to the pagoda to attend the first ceremony of the year, in an atmosphere still filled with the spirit of Spring.
