The Grand Opening of Te Whānau Lounge was fantastic!
Thanks to all who contributed to our first gathering, and made it such a special occasion. We hope to see you all again this Sunday at 10am.

Special thanks to Upper Hutt's Wayne Guppy for officially opening Te Whānau Lounge. We enjoyed hearing about the New Zealand Campus of Innovation and Sport, a multi-discipline training facility that will be world-class - what an amazing thing to have here in Upper Hutt! Wayne encouraged us to reach out to the community - did you know 28,000 cars go by Te Whānau Lounge everyday? Let's help them join the whānau!

And also special thanks to Lala Simpson for her musical performance, and for sharing a great faith story - Lala and her family were looking for a house, and kept getting priced out of the market. Lala showed great faith and started packing before a house had even been sorted, trusting that God would provide - and God did!

Upper Hutt City Mayor, Wayne Guppy will officially open our renovated auditorium, and share with us some of the exciting things happening in our region. He'll also tell us some of the challenges that lie ahead - and how Te Whānau Lounge can be part of the solution.

Well-known singer/musician Lala Simpson will be performing.
All are welcome, please wear a mask.

Performing at our grand opening THIS SUNDAY 14 August at 10am, is the incomparable Lala Simpson!

Lala's musical showmanship and sense of fun means this event is not to be missed.

Lala is from Madagascar, and now calls Wellington home. She is the director of both the Wellington Community Choir and Kobata Voices. Lala grew up immersed in music from her homeland, France, Africa and beyond. She has a playful and passionate approach to music that delights everyone.
