WORD OF GOD SUNDAY:

This Sunday is Word of God Sunday! But what is it, and why is it important?

Established by Pope Francis, Word of God Sunday is a call for believers to celebrate, study, and disseminate Scripture, so we can deepen our relationship with Jesus. It's a great reminder of reading the Bible, going to Mass, and getting involved in your local church.

The next Late Night Mass is coming up!

Join us on Friday, 5 December at The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. Mass begins at 8.00pm followed by fellowship in the foyer. Bring a plate and a friend to celebrate together in the Holy Sacrifice of the Eucharist!

ST FRANCIS XAVIER 50TH ANNIVERSARY MASS THIS WEEKEND:
Mark your calendars for this Sunday for a special Parish Mass celebrating 50 years since the opening of St. Francis Xavier Church in Stokes Valley!

The Mass will begin at 10am on Sunday, 9 November at St Francis Xavier Church (152 Stokes Valley Road, Stokes Valley, Lower Hutt 5019).

This will be the only Mass in the Parish that Sunday (usual Saturday vigil mass remains) — let’s come together to mark this milestone with joy and gratitude.

All are welcome.
