No one will go hungry for tomorrow morning’s Easter breakfast 😍. Our friends at U-Bake have provided these award-winning buns for the Easter breakfast and hot cross bun outreach for tomorrow. Amazing!

Don’t forget the various activities we have on offer tomorrow. 7am Dawn Service at Dashing Rocks followed by breakfast at Gregory’s. 10:30am church service. 1:30pm Hot Cross Bun Outreach, 4:30pm Afternoon Service, 6pm BBQ & Bonfire @ Gregory’s.

Church camp this weekend at Raincliff from Thursday 6th Feb - Sunday 9th Feb. morning church service will NOT be in Timaru this Sunday, but will be relocated to Raincliff at 11am. Bring-and-share lunch (make it easy and bring food in disposable containers if you can).

There will be no evening service this coming Sunday.

6 days til church camp! Regos close Sunday afternoon. Day visitors welcome $20 each. Please register so we know how much food to buy! No charge for Sunday as the morning service will be relocated to the camp. Bring and share lunch. No evening service as camp pack-up will be underway.

Covenant Grace is a Reformed Baptist Church (formerly known as Marchwiel Reformed Baptist Church), based in Timaru, New Zealand. We hold to the great doctrines emphasised during the Reformation as set forth in documents such as the Belgic Confession, Canons of Dort, Heidelberg Catechism, Westminster Confession of Faith, and Baptist Confession of Faith (1689). The name Covenant Grace refers to the Covenant of Grace outlined in the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith, chapter 7, paragraph 2, where "it pleased the Lord to make a covenant of grace, wherein he freely offers unto sinners life and salvation by Jesus Christ, requiring of them faith in him, that they may be saved; and promising to give unto all those that are ordained unto eternal life, his Holy Spirit, to make them willing and able to believe."

We meet for Lord's Day worship at 10:30am (10am if you wish to attend the prayer meeting) and 4:30pm, and hold a Teen Doctrine Class and primary age Sunday School at the church at 9:30am. We observe the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of every month, which is followed by a shared fellowship lunch.

Meetings during the week include a Bible Study on Wednesdays at 7:15pm, and other home group meetings. Please send us a message if you'd like more information.

We resolve to be: GOD-GLORIFYING: We resolve as individuals and as a Church to seek God’s glory in all we do (1 Cor. 10:31; Romans 11:36; Eph. 3:10)

CHRIST-CENTRED: We resolve to place the sufficient Christ of the Gospel at the centre of all our thinking, speaking and acting endeavouring to imitate Him as the shape of our holiness (Romans 8:29; 1 Cor. 2:2)

SPIRIT-DEPENDENT: We resolve because of our continuing indwelling sin and human feebleness to depend in all things upon God’s Spirit in prayer for grace to enable our obedience where God commands (Phil. 2:12-13; 1 Cor. 15:10)

BIBLE-BASED: We resolve to base all that we do and believe on the inerrant 66 books of the Bible and to preach that Word expositorily for the feeding of God’s flock (2 Tim. 3:16-17; Matt. 4:4; 2 Tim. 4:2)

HISTORICALLY ROOTED: We resolve to utilize the rich deposits of God’s grace given to the church throughout the ages in the various universal Christian Creeds (Apostle’s; Nicean; Chalcedonian) seeing especially the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith as a fallible but representative summary of the system of doctrine taught in Scripture (Prov. 11:14; Eph. 4:11-13)

LOCAL CHURCH GROUNDED: We resolve to submit to God’s will for the local church uniting together in committed, loving fellowship to minister to God in combined worship; to each other with the spiritual gifts given for edification, and to the world in faithful witness (1 Pet. 2:9; 1 Cor. 12:7; Matt. 28:18-20)

FAMILY ORIENTED: We resolve to uphold God’s will for the family both in the home and the church teaching male headship, encouraging and equipping parents to teach their children biblical truth, providing age specific ministry and a family oriented worship service (Eph. 5:21-6:4)

MISSIONS FOCUSED: We resolve to be committed to fulfilling the Great commission both locally and abroad with an emphasis on church planting and the unreached people groups (Acts 1:8; Romans 15:21)

NEW ZEALAND SITUATED: We resolve to make the eternal truths of God’s word and the gospel relevant in our 21st century New Zealand context, communicating and contextualizing them without compromise (1 Cor. 9:19-22)
