About Us

Covenant Grace is a Reformed Baptist Church (formerly known as Marchwiel Reformed Baptist Church), based in Timaru, New Zealand. We hold to the great doctrines emphasised during the Reformation as set forth in documents such as the Belgic Confession, Canons of Dort, Heidelberg Catechism, Westminster Confession of Faith, and Baptist Confession of Faith (1689). For more information, please see http://www.rbc.org.nz/rb.html. The name Covenant Grace refers to the Covenant of Grace outlined in the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith, chapter 7, paragraph 2, where "it pleased the Lord to make a covenant of grace, wherein he freely offers unto sinners life and salvation by Jesus Christ, requiring of them faith in him, that they may be saved; and promising to give unto all those that are ordained unto eternal life, his Holy Spirit, to make them willing and able to believe."

We meet for Lord's Day worship at 10:30am (10am if you wish to attend the prayer meeting) and 4:30pm, and hold a Teen Doctrine Class and primary age Sunday School at the church at 9:30am. We observe the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of every month, which is followed by a shared fellowship lunch.

Meetings during the week include a Bible Study on Wednesdays at 7:15pm, and other home group meetings. Please send us a message if you'd like more information.

We resolve to be: GOD-GLORIFYING: We resolve as individuals and as a Church to seek God’s glory in all we do (1 Cor. 10:31; Romans 11:36; Eph. 3:10)
