We are celebrating 100 years of St Marks current building this year. The former St Marks sits at Waihou opposite the hall.
Did you know the current Church of St Marks is 100 years old this weekend?
On the 26 April 1926, Archbishop Averill who was the Bishop of the Diocese of Auckland at the time, consecrated the new building as a Peace Memorial Church.
It was only a short time later in 1926 that St Marks became a part of the newly formed Diocese if Waikato and part of the Piako Archdeaconry area.
