We are privileged to have Michael and Teresa Thomas from Celebrate Messiah, coming to lead us in a Passover Seder. A Seder is a ceremonial meal that has been used by Jewish people for thousands of years to remember the Exodus story. In fact, it was at a Seder that Jesus took the bread and wine and likened it to His body and blood, and instructed us to do this in remembrance of Him (1 Cor 11:24). Do what you may ask? Not communion, but Passover! Passover is full of Christological symbolism (Col 2:17). So, come join us for this potluck Seder and discover the beauty and richness of this Biblical Festival as we fix our eyes on Jesus, our Passover Lamb (1 Cor 5:7).

When: 6:00pm, Saturday 4th April
Where: Welcome Bay Community Church, 340 Welcome Bay Rd
Cost: $10 per adult*, kids are free
Bring: A potluck dinner, but NO pork or shellfish as there may be those who keep kosher in attendance*

*This cost helps us cover the cost of the Seder items and a lover offering for our guest.
**Whilst as Gentiles we are not required to eat kosher, Paul tells us in Romans 14 there are those who choose to eat and those who choose not to, and whichever you are, do it for the Lord; so, let us not judge one another or be a stumbling block. As such, we will avoid these foods in our potluck so as to honour others more than ourselves (Rom 12:10).
