We are lucky enough to have Katherine preaching this Sunday at 10am, here is what she has to say:

One thing that stands out in the Lord’s prayer is how straight after ‘give us our daily bread’ comes ‘forgive us our sins’. One commentator has said that we require daily forgiveness just as much as we need our daily bread. That “we often feel the need for food more; but the need for forgiveness is real whether it is felt or not.”

It brings great comfort that we are exempt from the consequences of sin because of Jesus Christ and God’s forgiveness. What is confronting, however, is what follows, saying ‘as we forgive those who sin against us.’

Forgiveness is all verry well and good when we are on the receiving end, but a whole lot of work when we are required to forgive others. This Sunday we’ll look at how Colossians 3 and Matthew 18 unpack such a hearty requirement in the light of gratitude and relationship.

Check out a preview of what to look froward to this Sunday with Pastor Shane's message!

I find it fascinating that Jesus doesn’t tell us to pray for anything flash — not a phone, a 5-course meal, PS5, new sneakers, 100-inch TV, a boyfriend or girlfriend, a lifetime supply of ‘V”/Red Bull, a huge Bluetooth speaker system, or chocolate. He tells us to pray for ‘Just… bread’. Something simple that reminds us we’re human, hungry, and we actually need God more than we want to admit.
In Exodus 16, God fed His people fresh manna every morning. Only enough for one day. Why? He was training them to trust, not panic or hoard. Training them to wake up and say, “God, I need You today.”
When I look at it, ‘worry’ is imagining tomorrow without God. Yet, praying for your ‘Daily Bread’ is choosing trust today — and sharing what God’s given you with someone who needs it.

Here's a sneak peek for what we can look forward to. Eric Harrison has prepped an amassing message for this Sunday.
"Your will be done" means aligning our human desires with God's perfect plans. By saying this, a person surrenders personal control and trusts that God knows what is best.
It is an act of deep faith, humility, and obedience. The speaker accepts life's outcomes, whether joyful or difficult, believing our heavenly father is in charge.
Essentially, it means: "Let your plans happen, not mine." It represents a desire for heaven’s peace, justice, and love to shape daily life on Earth.

"Your Kingdom Come" is a petition embeded in the Lord's Prayer. It reflects a desire for God's divine authority, justice, and peace to be brought into existence on Earth.
It serves as a present calling and a future hope for believers.
It inspires us to live out heavenly values through acts of love, compassion, and reconciliation in their everyday communities.
This comes into being through or in the future theological belief and promise, where suffering, sin, and brokenness are entirely eradicated. This prayer or request bridges the gap between divine ideals and human reality, inviting a world restored under God's perfect reign.

Our Father in Heaven — The God Who Draws Near
Lots of people believe in something bigger, yet still feel like whatever’s out there is distant or uninterested. Jesus offers a different picture with two surprising words: “Our Father.” Not a judge, not a cosmic force — a personal, present Father who draws near. The Christian story says you don’t earn belonging; you’re invited into it. Like Punchinello discovering Eli’s gentle welcome, the message is simple: you don’t perform your way into love. You’re offered it. If faith has ever felt complicated or far away, try beginning with this: “If You’re real… draw near.” You might be surprised by how close God actually is.

Introducing the series 'Teach us to pray'
Prayer can feel like learning to surf at the Mount — you watch someone glide effortlessly, then you try and suddenly realize you’re out of your depth. The disciples knew that feeling too. They weren’t spiritual experts; they were learners. After watching Jesus pray, they asked, “Lord, teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1).
That’s where our series begins.
Jesus doesn’t give a lecture, or put pressure on them, or ask them to perform — He gives a simple, relational pattern. Over the coming weeks, we’ll explore the Lord’s Prayer as a map for identity, trust, forgiveness, mission, and belonging. Prayer isn’t about fancy words or sophisticated long sentences. It’s learning to pray the way Jesus does: simply, honestly, and with the Father.

How Do We Know if We’re ‘Nailing It’ as Followers of Christ?
Ever watched Netflix's Nailed It? The cake looks nothing like the picture, but they still say, “Nailed it”.
Spiritually, it raises a real question: how do we know if we’re nailing it?

Paul’s answer in Galatians 6 is beautifully simple. We nail it when we gently restore people, carry each other’s emotional, physical, and spiritual loads and take responsibility for our own walk. We nail it when we plant good seed — kindness, generosity, integrity, and trusting God for the harvest. We nail it when we brag only in the cross.

Jesus nailed it for us — now we live it out!

This Sunday we have Eric talking on Galatians 5. Below is a taster of what's in store.⛪
Christ has set us free! In Galatians 5, the apostle Paul urges believers to stand firm in this newfound liberty. Instead of relying on strict religious rules to earn God's favor, we are called to live by faith and serve one another in love.
Paul contrasts two ways of living
The Flesh: Following our selfish desires leads to conflict, broken relationships, and moral decay.
The Spirit: Walking in the Holy Spirit produces beautiful traits—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
True freedom isn't a license to do whatever we want; it’s the power to become who God created us to be. Let’s keep in step with the Spirit!
