What a special Sunday together!

We spent time worshiping, sharing communion, and being encouraged as Rob continued our ‘Ordinary Greatness’ series.

Our youth gathered for their Alpha afternoon, building friendships, asking big questions, and enjoying some healthy competition with a pickleball tournament 🏓

Reminder that youth is on Thursdays 6:45pm!

JUNE - swipe to see what’s happening this month in the life of our church 👉🏻

Sunday 7th: Youth Alpha Event. Please be praying over this afternoon, that these young people would encounter the Holy Spirit! We would also love some helpers for hospitality.

Saturday 13th: Pizza and Bread making afternoon! Please bring along your favourite pizza topping.

Saturday 20th: Families Winter Event. Dinner provided.

Calling all Central Baptist Families ☎️

Saturday 20 June we will be having our Families Winter Event here at church from 3:15pm!

This is a time where we can get together to have some time of connection, then kids will be supervised while we run a parent session to touch base on the focus and direction of our kids/families ministry.

We will be ordering pizza for dinner - but please bring something small to share.

We would also love some helpers/volunteers, so if you can help in any way please contact Tim Davison or the church office 🙌🏼

Weather Update for Sunday Services.

Kiaora Church Whanau

We're aware of the severe weather forecast for this Sunday and have been monitoring the situation.

We had hoped that services will still be able to go ahead. However, conditions are unsafe enough that there has been an official state of Emergency put in place for our region. Therefore, we have made the call to cancel our service for tomorrow.

Remember to Check in on your Neighbours and stay Safe.

Kiaora church Whanau, just thought we would let you know that we have made contact with our most vulnerable members today to check in on them prior to the storm and ensure they have everything necessary.

We will make a final decision regarding our service at 7am tomorrow morning but at this stage stay safe and check in on your elderly neighbours and let them know you’re home 🙂.

He Shall Be Called: Prince of Peace

Christmas can easily become crowded and noisy. Advent invites us to slow down, to become still, and to make room for the peace only Jesus can give.

“We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” – Romans 5:1

True peace is not simply the absence of conflict.
It is the presence of Christ within us.
Even in a restless world, His peace steadies our hearts and anchors our lives.

He Shall Be Called: Everlasting Father

Jesus shows us the heart of the Father. He reveals God’s compassion, His faithfulness, His kindness, and His deep care for His children. He is the Father who never leaves and never changes.

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being.” – Hebrews 1:3

C. S. Lewis wrote, “The Son of God became a man to enable men to become sons of God.”
This Advent, take time to sit quietly with God, reflect on His character, and remember that you are His beloved son or daughter.

He holds you close, and His love for you does not fade.
