Saga Dawa
One of the most important days of the Tibetan Buddhist Calendar is the full moon day, (the 15th) of the fourth lunar month. This is the day we acknowledge Buddha’s Birth in Lumbini; the day he attained Enlightenment at the age of 35 in Bodhgaya; and the day he passed into Parinirvana at the age of 80 in Kushnagar, in the sacred lands of Nepal and India.
Our community gathered to acknowledge and express our respect traditionally with a programme of prayers in Tibetan and English.

Tuesday 19 May
We are very happy Venerable Pong Re Rinpoche visited Karma Choeling yesterday. He has been considering the important subject of where to site Precious Venerable
Lama Samten’s holy relic Stupa. This decision has important spiritual and practical implications. Rinpoche, with Datemba and Pasang, made the most of the favourable weather to walk and check parts of the property he is considering more seriously as a possible location.
