Last Friday all the remedial work on our two slips was completed! A retaining wall has been constructed on the road from the Bodhi House carpark to the stupas, and the slip at the stupas has been expertly fixed using matting and earth nails.

We will be doing some earthworks at Karma Choeling from Wednesday 23 September 2026 for 2 weeks. Our parking area by the Bodhi House will be affected. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

We conducted Green Tara puja, dedicated particularly to a Dharma family in Australia. This was Venerable Lama Phurpa’s first Tara puja in New Zealand.

Tara is the liberator, the Mother of the Buddhas, who arose from the tears of Avalokiteshvara, the Lord of Compassion.

Please join our Sangha on the anniversary of 9/11 to acknowledge those who have passed away as well as those who have suffered tragedy in Nepal or in other parts of the world recently.
At 5pm on Friday 11 September we will conduct a special purification Bardo Puja of Vajrasattva.

A suggested donation of $10 per name is appreciated to cover costs of Shrine offerings and Puja materials. The Puja will begin at 5pm and will be followed by our regular evening practice of Chenrezig.

Our wonderful Tibetan doctor, Dr Lhundup Dorjee, has been at Karma Choeling nearly two weeks, conducting clinics and public talks. He attended H E Namkhai Ngingpo's auspicious Medicine Buddha empowerment, and has been enjoying walking around the beautiful property.

The doctor's tour was organised by the Trust's Sowa Rigpa committee. Dr Dorjee returns to India on Friday.
