Tuesday 1 September 2026
The concluding chapter of HE Namkhai Nyingpo Rinpoche’s visit to Karma Choeling Buddhist Monastery in Auckland was visiting the sacred sites of the property. His Eminence, accompanied by Venerable Pong Re Rinpoche and entourage, walked to the Buddha statue and on to the 8 Tathagatha Stupas in order to bless Karma Choeling’s sacred sites.

His Eminence’s visit was so rich and meaningful. We farewelled him with the aspiration that he will visit us again on his next visit to New Zealand scheduled for 2028.

Tuesday 1 September 2026
It was a wonderful experience having so many people participate in the Medicine Buddha Empowerment bestowed by HE Namkhai Nyingpo at Karma Choeling Buddhist Monastery. With our multicultural community Venerable Pong Re Rinpoche felt it very important His Eminence’s programme was translated into English, and Rinpoche undertook that task himself. It made a tremendous difference for all the English speaking participants.
In addition to the Medicine Buddha Empowerment, His Eminence bestowed many mantra transmissions including Chenrezig, Guru Rinpoche and Vajrasattva.
On the conclusion of the formal programme in the monastery, His Eminence drew the number for the lucky prize - a blessed, blue Medicine Buddha mala from Rinpoche himself. This was followed by a beautiful Cultural offering to His Eminence.
Feeling satisfied with such a rich and meaningful day, we farewelled His Eminence with the aspiration that he will visit us again in 2027.

Saturday 22 August
It was fitting to conclude our 3 week August Ngondro Retreat with a Dedication Ceremony that happened to be scheduled on Guru Rinpoche day, Saturday the lunar 10th.
We completed the traditional recitation of the Four Extraordinary Foundation Practices, and then performed the Tsog Offering Puja The Shower of Blessings, a Guru Yoga based on The Seven Line Prayer to Guru Rinpoche.
Afterwards our Retreatants, Sangha and friends enjoyed delicious food together in celebration.
