Eid Mubarak Brothers and sisters

| 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐰𝐰𝐚𝐥 𝟏𝟒𝟒𝟕𝐇 𝐌𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

The Hilal Committee of the Federation of Islamic Associations of New Zealand (FIANZ) is pleased to announce that the new moon of Shawwal has been sighted today. Accordingly, Saturday, 21 March 2026, will mark the first day of Shawwal 1447H and the day of Eid al-Fitr.

FIANZ extends its warmest greetings of Eid to the entire Muslim community across New Zealand. We pray that Allah accepts our fasting, prayers, and all acts of worship performed during the blessed month of Ramadan. May He reward our efforts abundantly and envelop us in His infinite mercy.

FIANZ would also like to thank the Muslim community for its continued support, unity, and cooperation. We ask Allah to fill this joyous day with barakah, strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood, and grant peace and prosperity to all families in New Zealand.

May Allah accept our fasting, prayers, and good deeds during Ramadan and grant us the blessings of Eid.

Assalaam wa Alaikum brothers and sisters, In Sha Allah Jammat for Eid-ul-fitr will be at 8.30 am on day of Eid which will either be Saturdayor Sunday. Please make an effort to be at the mosque before 8.30 so that you don't miss the Jamaat.

Also just a quick reminder about parking at the mosque, the driveway and door access should never be blocked. It becomes a Health and Safety issue when the driveway and door access is blocked. There is a lot of parking available on High Street with a walkway leading to the Mosque

Bathing Janazah and Shrouding Workshop - Part 1

GREAT OPPORTUNITY for the People of BAY OF PLENTY to take part and refresh the KNOWLEDGE.

Ulul Albab Islamic Institute New Zealand in collaboration with Rotorua Islamic Association is offering this workshop on bathing and shrouding of the janazah. It is Fard Kifayah for every Muslim to learn this Islamic death ritual.

This workshop will provide both theory and practical details of bathing (ghusl) of the body (mayyat) followed with shrouding (takfin). All Muslim brothers and sisters are invited to learn this chapter of Islam.
