You never know where one simple “yes” might lead.

We’d love for you to join us. ❤️

This Thursday come join us at 7pm at the Chervier Centre Rangiora. Doors open at 6.45pm. For more information and to register click the link here: https://waimakariricatholic.org.nz/alpha/

After more than a century of prayer, worship and community, St Mary & St Francis de Sales Church, Rangiora is preparing to close its doors before its demolition.

For generations, this sacred place has been at the heart of the Catholic life of Rangiora — where the faithful have gathered for Holy Mass, Baptisms, First Holy Communions, Confirmations, Weddings, Funerals, prayer and countless moments of grace.
While we farewell the building, we give thanks to God for all that has taken place within it and for the generations of parishioners whose lives and faith have been shaped here.

We invite you to join us in honouring this important chapter in our parish history.

🕊️ Final Opportunity to Visit the Church
Sunday 30 August | 12.00pm
A supervised final visit will be offered for those with a genuine personal connection to the church. This visit will begin with a short talk and safety briefing in the Chervier lounge followed by a supervised visit to the Church. Numbers are limited and access to the building is restricted. ✝️ Farewell & Final Closing Service
Sunday 6 September | 2.00pm
41 Victoria Street, Rangiora
Service held adjacent to the church building.
We warmly welcome current and former parishioners, families and friends to come together in prayer and thanksgiving as we entrust this place and its history to God.

As we close one chapter, we look forward with Christian hope to what God will build among us in the years ahead, including the eventual rebuilding of a Catholic church in Rangiora.

As we prepare for these events, we ask you to keep our Parish community in our prayers, particularly those for whom this farewell may be especially difficult. May this be a time of gratitude for all that has been, and a time of hope and renewal for all that is yet to come.
