CHARISE PEREZ

Charise studied at Victoria University where she graduated with a degree in Psychology and Criminology. Whilst studying, she worked as an Authorised Officer for Police at the Wellington Central station cells. (An Authorised Officer is someone who performs specific policing roles but does not have all the powers of a sworn constables). After 18 months she became a Police Constable. She is stationed at the Hutt Valley Quarters in the Public Safety Team – the first responders to 111 calls.

Charise is in her early twenties but has already witnessed the confronting realities of life and policing firsthand. Yet through it all, it is the “yes” and the promises of God that continue to guide her, strengthen her, and fulfil His purpose in her life.

Charise serves as a Worship Leader in her church Epicentre and lives with her family in Lower Hutt.

MISS MINKA KNOETZE

Born in South Africa, Minka immigrated to New Zealand with her family in 2007. While dealing with the adjustments of a new life, and navigating the challenges of high school, she experienced multiple brain injuries. At a young age Minka was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, and with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) in 2019. Through all of these challenges Minka has continued to stand firmly on the promises of the Lord, finding strength and hope in her faith.
Minka recently spent two summers in Alberta as a Youth Leader at a Jewish summer camp investing into the lives of young people. On returning to NZ she began a career in the Public Service and is currently studying toward a Diploma in Business, specialising in Human Resources.
Minka serves as a Youth Leader at Porirua Elim and is an influential voice within the Young Adults community. Her testimony, positive outlook and enthusiastic leadership are inspiring.

Fepulea'i Helen Tupai is an internationally renowned composer, conductor, pianist, and founder of Signature Choir. For over 30 years, she has shaped Pasifika music in Aotearoa and beyond, blending gospel, choral, traditional, and contemporary styles into works that uplift culture and faith. Her creations, including Mana Moana with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and beloved songs like Psalms 91, have become anthems for Pasifika communities worldwide.

Through Signature Music Academy and initiatives like the Musika Moana Choir Competition, Helen continues to mentor young artists while championing Pasifika voices with excellence, love, and service.

You will be encouraged by the way she remains steadfast and focused through both the highs and lows of life..
