Blessed fellowship and thankful hearts. ❤️

Today we gathered as a church family to share a feast with our Usufono following their return from Samoa. We thank God for His faithfulness, protection, and guidance, and for bringing them home safely. May the blessings and lessons from their journey continue to bear fruit in His ministry.

To God be the glory. 🙏

✨ “Come now, let us reason together.” — Isaiah 1:18
God’s invitation is simple: come as you are.

Through every mistake, challenge, and unanswered question, His grace remains greater. When we bring our hearts before Him, He transforms our struggles into strength and our burdens into peace.

Today’s reminder: God is not distant—He is waiting, listening, and calling us closer. 🤍

On Tuesday, Porirua City Council hosted the Samoan Flag Raising Ceremony to officially open Samoa Language Week and commemorate the 64th Anniversary of Samoa’s Independence.

The devotion was led by Rev. Nove Vailaau, who shared a special personal reflection about being a 7-year-old boy present at Samoa’s first Independence Day celebrations in 1962. His story brought history to life, reminding us that the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy today were hard-earned through the vision, courage, and sacrifice of those who came before us.

As the Samoan flag was raised, we reflected on our journey as a people, giving thanks to God for His guidance over the past 64 years and honouring the generations who continue to uphold our language, culture, and identity both in Samoa and throughout the diaspora.

🌱♻️ WASTE-ED Workshop at EFKS Porirua ♻️🌱

Tonight, our church families gathered for an informative and engaging WASTE-ED workshop delivered entirely in Gagana Samoa, helping make important conversations about food waste more accessible to our community.

From practical tips on meal planning and food storage to simple ways we can reduce waste in our homes, the workshop encouraged us to be better stewards of the resources God has blessed us with. Small changes in our daily habits can make a big difference for our families, our finances, and our environment.

Fa’afetai tele lava to everyone who attended and participated in the discussions. Together, we continue to learn, grow, and support one another in building stronger, more sustainable households for future generations. 💚

Thank you to the Samoan Ministers Fellowship for your continued commitment to bringing our people together, strengthening our diaspora, and helping create brighter futures for the next generation of Samoans in Aotearoa New Zealand.

This year, we were honoured to host the annual Samoa Independence Day Service. What a beautiful sight it was to see God’s people gathered under one roof, united in faith, fellowship, and love, regardless of denomination. Moments like these remind us that what binds us together is far greater than what separates us.

We continue to lift up our homeland in prayer, for our people, our leaders, and all those who faithfully carry the responsibilities of our nation. Samoa remains the heartbeat of our culture, our language, and our identity; the source from which generations continue to draw strength, wisdom, and pride.
