Sunday is a day of sadness for us as we begin the process of bringing our beloved Whare Karakia to rest with our Tupuna Whare a Wairere. So many memories, so many people that passed through the doors generation after generation. Many of our tupuna worked hard to put those buildings there, what for? for the sake of the people. Their contribution was truly significant, they gave us a tūrangawaewae, more importantly they gave us a home; to grieve our loved ones, to celebrate our birthdays, weddings and Christmas masses. The landscape is not going to be the same again. For now, let us hold-fast to our memories. This page is going to come alive over the build. We have many ways to carry our worship even though we wont physically have a church untill April next year I am proposing karakia online once a month on Sunday and weekly midweek karakia/kōrero for our Te Hunga Tapu Whānau kia tau te rangimārie.
