Petone Salvation Army We are an eclectic community of people discovering how to follow Jesus Christ today. Sunday church gathering - 10am. Wednesday playgroup - 9:30-11:30am.

We believe church should be multi-cultural and multi-generational and that all can contribute. We like it this way because those different to us help us to grow and be more Christ-like. We are in the community, for the community, bringing out the God favour and colours. We will be salt and light in Petone; building relationships, journeying with people towards God and into the Kingdom. First Sunday of every month -Neighbourhood pancakes. 10am

5th Sunday (if there is one) - Out and about in our community. We do hire out our hall to various groups and gatherings for $25 an hour*. Please contact us re availability. Weekends are generally available after 3:30pm on a Saturday and after 1pm on a Sunday. Email us at [email protected] for any enquiries. Please note the playground isn’t accessible from the hall but can still be accessed via the front gate.

Some good news! You may have noticed that we have a new feature at Te Kōhanga Manaaki - Petone Playscape. It looks a little like a tiny tiny house, but is in fact a pātaka kai (food pantry). We teamed up with Healthy families Hutt Valley, to provide a space for free easy access to food.
It's a way for the community to share food, give what you can, take what you need. Looking out for each other, leaving no one left out.
So feel free to come by and check it out :)

This week is volunteer appreciation week and here at Petone we want to do a shout out to all the volunteers who help us week in and week out. The people power of the community is what makes Petone one of the best places to be. From playgroup set up, serving drinks, packaging coffee, preaching, to cooking dinner for the youth, We couldn't do what we do without our volunteers. So Ngā mihi nui!!!
