Hi Everyone! Wow, things have certainly moved fast in the last few days. I was working in New Plymouth last weekend when all Masses were cancelled, and now most of us are in lockdown even though it doesn't officially start until tomorrow. The St. Dominic's Catholic Deaf Centre and our Diocesan Offices are closed and staff are now working from home. I will not repeat all the advice about lockdown and Covid - 19 here as you can access that on official sites, In my travels around Taranaki I was pleased to see that most Deaf, hard of hearing and their families were well informed and prepared about the virus. Prayer and remaining positive are our strongest supports. Remember those Deaf and hard of hearing who may be most at risk especially our older members and others who do not keep good health. We can check up on them through sending positive and encouraging texts or emails. Stay safe and encourage each other not to panic. Blessings, David
