This week we celebrate National Vocations Awareness Week, dedicated to promoting vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life.

Below is a video introducing our current diocesan seminarians — Sy Nguyen, Zecharia Mathew, Br Rodney Rebecca, Hung Nguyen, and Zung Manh Phan — who are discerning a call to the priesthood. We invite you to keep them in your prayers, along with all those in our diocese discerning or living vocations to ordained ministry and consecrated life.

To our young people: vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life are a beautiful and courageous option for your life. If you are considering a vocation, please speak with any of our diocesan priests.

To parents: if your child expresses an interest in a religious vocation, we encourage you to support them with openness, love, and prayer.

Come and help us fill gift bags to give out at Christmas!

We are having a working bee to fill the bags on Saturday 13th December at 2pm in the St Patrick’s Hall behind the Cathedral.
Just show up on the day, the more the merrier and help serve our faith community.

Each saint, Jesus as well, spent time beyond the church.

Scientists, martyrs, lawyers, politicians, Bishops, sisters, teachers, shepherds, farmers, bankers ... you and me.

There are many paths the Saints chose. We are thankful for each and remember them annually at their feast day. Their righteous actions strengthen our resolve to be truly kind, in the ethical dilemmas we, all human kind, face.
