Diocesan Young Catholics Diocesan Young Catholics aims to engage, inform and challenge young Catholics about the faith across the Manawatลซ, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki and Whanganui regions.

Youth, young adult, tertiary and college outreach in the Catholic Diocese of Palmerston North. We exist in order to assist Communities in their Catholic ministry with young people by: nurturing in young people a relationship with God; celebrating God in the lives of young people and the community; forming young people to stand tall in their journey of faith; connecting and developing the relations

hip between young people and their families, education, peers, and the community; and working for justice and peace.

Carlo was a teenager who loved football, PlayStation, and coding. He was also completely in love with Jesus. This June, his relics are coming to our diocese and we want young people to come and meet him.

Join us for an evening especially for the young people of our diocese with pizza, a talk on St Carlo's 5 Steps to Being a Saint, praise and worship, Eucharistic Adoration, and Relic Veneration.

St Carlo's witness belongs to all of us, so the young at heart are warmly invited too!

In a world that often treats marriage as a burden, a temporary arrangement, or something to be postponed indefinitely, Pope Leo reminds young people of a beautiful truth:

Marriage is not merely a human contract. It is a vocationโ€”a calling from God.

God created man and woman for communion, love, and family. Through the Sacrament of Matrimony, a husband and wife become a living sign of Christ's love for His Church.

Many today fear commitment. They fear sacrifice. They fear bringing children into an uncertain world.

Yet every generation has faced challenges. The answer has never been fear, but faith.

The family remains the first school of love, the first place where the faith is taught, and the foundation of every healthy society.

To those discerning their future: do not be afraid to answer God's call.

The world needs holy marriages.

The Church needs holy families.

And children need mothers and fathers who will lead them to heaven.

If you or someone you know feel called to do youth ministry, this could be the sign you've been waiting for!

The Catholic Parish of New Plymouth has extended applications until Tuesday 16 June.

They are seeking a vibrant and faith-filled Youth Minister to lead and grow youth engagement in the parish.

This role involves running youth groups and events, leading the Confirmation programme, building strong relationships with local Catholic colleges, and encouraging young people to take an active part in parish life.

Daniel and Steph are just two of many of our homegrown success stories in youth ministry!

Tonight, we shared meal and farewell one of our Life Teen Hastings Youth Leaders, Daniel Bennett, who will be going to serve at the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT), North Dakota in the States. May God be your guide all the way there and keep glorify His name with the works of your hands.
Thank you team for all the prayers and supporting Daniel in his mission. Thank you everyone that had been helping out in multiple ways.

On the back of what was an amazing O'Shea Shield experience for our young people at Sacred Heart Lower Hutt over the weekend, and on the back of the St. Carlo Acutis relic travelling through our diocese and country atm, we are preparing to celebrate Pentecost!
Let's continue to pray for our young people! Let's pray together for an outpouring of the Spirit like at Pentecost - that they would come to know the Lord and committ to being a disciple of Jesus with the same fervour of the first disciples!

A particular shout out to all the young church ministers in our diocese who accompany our young people - they are many and magnificently gifted!
