Harvest Church Harvest Christian Fellowship Otorohanga
Assembly of God Church Network By that time it had assumed the name “Otorohanga Christian Fellowship”.

We hope that as we take some time together to explain a little about what God is doing through us, it will be both useful and informative to you. According to our trust document, The Assemblies of God (Otorohanga) Church was founded in 1985. It was originally a church in its own right, but in the 1990’s, as membership declined; it became a cell church under the “Waitomo Christian Fellowship” in Te

Kuiti. The congregation purchased a new building and determined to re-establish the fellowship, installing a full time pastor in January 2001. We are still affiliated to Assemblies of God New Zealand (Inc.). Things started to happen, the church started growing, and the name was changed to “Harvest Christian Fellowship”, as a part of the vision that God was giving us. In Early 2005, we embarked on an ambitious project to impact our community. We established a second trust (Harvest Centre Trust) as a fund raising vehicle, and set about establishing a community and youth centre which would double as our church, but would be available for all of Otorohanga. Our church ministry is focused on spirit, soul and body (1Thess. 5:23) to enable people to live their life's calling.

Hi all! We have made the tough decision to cancel our service tomorrow morning in light of the severe weather warnings and state of emergency that has been declared for the Waikato today. Please stay safe and pray for our nation over the next 36 hours..we look forward to seeing you all again as usual next week.

Hi All. We trust you are all having a precious Easter Weekend. Just a reminder that tomorrow daylight savings ends, so put your clocks back an hour.

Hi Everyone - just a reminder that this Friday is kind of SPECIAL. We commemorate one of the three most significant events in the history of the Universe! (The other two being the day God became man,[CHRISTMAS] and the day He conquered death, [RESURECTION SUNDAY]). On Friday we remember the day that the creator of the Universe willingly laid down his life for us - because He loves us and there was no other way to restore us to Himself.

To those of you who are regular church goers - PLEASE prioritise Friday. Do your best to get to a service somewhere, don't get sucked into the commercialism and "Sleep-in" mentality! Prioritising Easter sends a powerful message to your friends, family and colleagues. Make an effort to observe Easter in some way. Jesus made the supreme effort for you.

If you are not a regular church goer, PLEASE feel free to come along and see what it is all about. We won't Bible bash you, in fact we'll give you coffee and a hot-cross bun afterwards to say thank you...

Good morning everyone,
Over the next few weeks while I am preaching, I would like to spend a bit of time re-reading and thinking about the book of Philippians. In a word, Philippians is probably best summed up by the word "Thankfulness". As a church we witnessed such thankfulness last Sunday, and it is definitely a virtue which is not too common in the world today - but none the less, a virtue EVERYONE of us MUST feel towards our saviour and should reflect out to a world that has all but forgotten it's meaning

Can I suggest we all make an effort to read the book of Philippians again before Sunday - it's only 4 chapters, four pages of the Bible. Read it at one sitting and allow the Lord to bring Joy and thankfulness into your heart again. Then, on Sunday, we'll start to dig a little deeper into it.

And so we come to this time of the year...
2025 was great, the occasional challenge, but all of you, the Harvest Family, made it a great year. Thank you for all your support, wisdom, help and generosity throughout the year. Carole and I are so privileged to be in this role, and it is all of you who make the role such a pleasure.
2026 - everything lies ahead. We have much to look forward to and a promising future - because we know who holds that future. I have no doubt there will be challenges, new paths, and probably change in some of our lives. But our God and Father is standing at the door of the new year, and encouraging us to enter it with him - LET'S GO...
