What does it really mean to be strong?

This Sunday we were reminded that true strength isn’t about how tough, loud, or powerful we appear—it’s about character, integrity, humility and love.

From Joshua’s courage and faithfulness, Samuel’s devotion and humility, to Peter and John walking in the authority of Jesus, we see what God can do through people who are willing to listen, learn, serve and stand firm.

And ultimately, we look to Jesus—the Lion and the Lamb. Strong enough to stand for what is right, yet humble enough to serve and compassionate enough to love.
Strength. Humility. Love.

That’s what godly character looks like.
The Holy Spirit empowers us to live this out—not perfectly, but faithfully, one day at a time.

Fathers Day Service
We’re looking forward to gathering on Fathers Day
When: Sunday 6th December

School Lunch Outreach
Get involved at church next Thursday from 9am to pack and deliver lunches.
When: Thursday 10th Sept @ 9am

Family Service
Take the opportunity to dine and connect  with others after our Sunday morning service
When: Sunday 20th Sept

PRAYER MEETINGS
Our weekly Friday prayer meetings are at church @ 6am.

What are you speaking over your life?

This Sunday, we were reminded that our words matter. Like a small rudder directing a large ship, what we speak can set the direction of our faith.

The Israelites saw the same giants—but while some spoke fear, Caleb and Joshua spoke faith. Zechariah had to learn to trust God’s promise even before he could see the breakthrough. And at Pentecost, the Holy Spirit empowered believers to boldly declare the goodness of God.

Sometimes the facts around us can look intimidating, but God’s truth is greater than what we see.
So let’s choose to speak life. Speak Scripture. Speak faith. And above all, seek first the Kingdom of God.

When you can’t see the summit, keep taking the steps.

This Sunday Ps Sarah Fryett reminded us that the climb isn’t wasted. The pain, the waiting, the pressure and the in-between seasons can all be places where God is shaping us and teaching us to trust Him.

The challenge is: what is informing your vision?
Like Joshua and Caleb, we can see the same giants and obstacles but choose to see them through the lens of a bigger God. Faith doesn’t deny the reality of what we’re facing—it chooses to trust God in the middle of it.

So if you’re in the climb right now, look again. Fix your eyes on God, remember His faithfulness, and keep taking the next step.

When God wants to unlock something, sometimes He calls us to push in.

This Sunday, we were reminded that fasting isn’t about simply giving something up—it’s about drawing closer to Jesus, knowing our identity, and aligning ourselves with what God is doing.

Jesus knew who He was and what He was called to do, and He prepared Himself for the battles ahead. In the same way, when we seek God with all our hearts, He can bring breakthrough, strengthen our relationship with Him, and prepare us for what He has called us to.

As a church, we’re praying and fasting for salvation, our church building, and clarity around God’s calling for each of us. We’re believing for breakthrough and for every obstacle standing in the way to be removed.

As we step into our church fast this week, let’s seek God with all our hearts and make space to grow deeper in our relationship with Him.

We believe God wants to bless His people—not just spiritually, but with real, practical breakthrough in every area of our lives. As we seek Him, let’s come with expectation, faith and open hearts for what He wants to do.

Lean in, seek God, and believe for breakthrough.
Join us for the church fast this week. Set aside time to pray, seek God and believe with us for His presence and breakthrough in every area of our lives.

This month we’re also starting our week-long church fast. We will be specifically praying into two areas.
1.Salvations
2.Our church building
Set aside time to think on what you’re believing and hoping for, let’s all pray and fast for breakthrough in those areas together.

Here’s what’s coming up

All In Prayer Night
If you volunteer at church, then this gathering is for you. All In Nights are focused on refreshing, renewal, being prayed over, worshipping and soaking in the presence of God. If you were serving on a Sunday and didn’t get to receive prayer, this is your time
Tuesday 4th August @ 7pm

Creative Team Night
Been thinking about serving in the worship, production or media teams at Belong?Meet others who are passionate about using their gifts for the Lord and see how to get involved.
Thursday 6th August @ 6.30pm

Churchwide Fasting
During August, we will be starting our annual week-long fast together. In our Sunday services Pastor Adam will share on what we are believing for as a collective. On top of this, start to pray about what you may want to fast for.
