We need to stand up against the Disability Support Services Bill which will adversely affect those with disabilities and their families. It's "not right, just or fair".

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.” Proverbs 31:8-9

Pray for wisdom to understand what is right and just and fair—every good path. Proverbs 2:9

“He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8

…you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. Matthew 23:23

“Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.” Psalm 82:3-4

Lots to do in Tahunanui on Mondays with CHILL for pre-schoolers in the morning and hosted at St Stephens, and Kids Club after-school programme for 6 -10 year olds hosted at The Tahunanui Community Hub - Te Tari Hapori ki Tahunanui

This coming Sunday is Pentecost Sunday, a special date in the church calendar as it marks the beginning of the Christian Church. You can read about it in Acts chapter 2. If you don’t have a Bible you can Google it.

During this special service there are some people who will be coming forward for Water Baptism and others for Confirmation, those who were Baptised or Dedicated as infants or young children and want to Confirm their Faith.

This will be one combined service at 10.00am with a special morning tea to follow. It has been suggested that we could bring some type of finger food that comes from our culture, as we have many represented in our church whanau.

An extra bonus is that Bishop Steve Maina will be preaching.
Everyone is welcome, of all faiths, lapsed faiths, or no faith.

There’s a Parents Room for those with babies, should they need it, and fun programmes for toddlers right through to Youth Group age. The church is easily accessible for wheelchairs or people using walkers or walking sticks.
