“We need to honor God while we still have time because tomorrow is never promised”
Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel declares: “I promised that members of your family would minister before me forever.’ But now the Lord declares: ‘Far be it from me! Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained - 1 Samuel 2:30
Today’s message challenged us to examine how we honor God while we still have the opportunity. Four ways to honor God:
1. Seek Gods presence daily
Psalm 91:1, James 4:8, Psalm 63:1, John 15:4 & 15
2. Honor God in your service - Your time spent to do anything for the Lord will never be in vain
Colossians 3:23 -And whatever you do, do it heartily as to the Lord and not to men
3. Honor God in Worship - Revelation 4:8-11
4. Honor God in your hard times - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Psalm 34:1, Mathew 6:28-33
Tomorrow is never promised. Honoring God is more than what we can say it is reflected in how we live, how we serve, how we worship and how we respond when life gets difficult. So while we still have today, let us choose to honor him in everything that we do
