Lakshmi represents the source of all wealth, fortune and prosperity in the universe. Goddess Lakshmi is worshiped in the female form of representing Sakthi or energy for the whole universe. Preforming Vilakku Poojai is very good especially on Friday. Devotees can perform themselves the poojai for Goddess Lakshmi. Lakshmi poojai bestows wealth, good life, peace, good health and happiness to those who participate. Devotess also pray for progeny and the long life of their life partners.

Devotees who desire to take part in the Vilakku Poojai, if you can please bring the following items from home, If not the temple will provide them.

'Kuthuvilakku' Brass lamp - Brass or copper plate to keep the lamp - Kumgumam (good quality)
Manjal - Haldhi powder - Manjal - Haldhi dry solid - Pan leaves - Paan - Flowers - Fruits - cooked prasad - small bowl brass or copper panchapathram - tumbler with spoon to pour water.
