The Day of Pentecost I Birth of the Church | 🔥🕊️
This Pentecost Sunday, the Wellington brethren commemorated how the Church was born on the Day of Pentecost and its continuing relevance in our time.
The fiftieth day after Jesus' resurrection, the Holy Spirit came with power, transforming ordinary believers into bold witnesses of Christ. The Church was born not through buildings or traditions, but through the presence and power of God moving among His people. The early brethren devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer, and these are still evident in our time as the Church continues to live and grow through the work of the Holy Spirit.
Through the meditation of God's word, it also emphasized God's faithfulness in fulfilling His promises and the importance of surrender to the Holy Spirit power bringing spiritual transformation to the believers that leads us to walk in holiness.
Moreover, partnering ourselves with this Apostolic Mandate of reaching souls for Christ matters. Recognizing that opportunities such as the Home Free Global Crusade through the leadership of our living Apostle is paramount in advancing the mission of God and proclaiming the gospel to the nations in our time.
May we continue to be a Spirit-filled Church, faithfully living out God's purpose and proclaiming Christ to the world.
