Be aware of the hypocrite staring back at you in the mirror.

God invites us, but often we're indifferent, absorbed in our many activities. We may fear letting God too close or getting too involved in His plan, worried it might cost us some freedom or control.

Turn their hearts of stone into hearts of flesh.

To recover from the impact of war, destruction, loss of land and exile, the people had deserted God. As a consequence and as we read in today’s first reading from Ezekiel 36:23-28, the great challenge for the prophet Ezekiel was to restore the holiness of God’s name.
