2 Corinthians 13. Examine Yourself. Today we were reminded by Apostle Paul to examine ourselves to see whether we are in the faith. An awesome Sunday at our new site and to celebrate with the whānau. Thank you Lord for the reminder ❤️

The blessing of our building has been completed, and tomorrow we gather for our very first Sunday service in this new place. We are humbled and grateful that God continues to use us to help build His Kingdom in this community.
“You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 2:5

And we are done for the day - tomorrow is another day.
We are so thankful for the youth who were able to come tonight and help us unpack the chairs from the cardboard boxes. We are almost there, and even as we look at how far we’ve come, all we can say is, “Thank you, God”.
We truly appreciate every single person, from every part of this journey, who has helped make this new site possible. We are so close now. Our prayers is that the Holy Spirit will continue to watch over us and bless us as we complete the final touch-ups, prepare for the blessing of the site, and get ready to open our doors to the community.
Numbers 6:24-26
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you… and give you peace.”
God’s timing is always perfect.
We know there have been prayer warriors lifting this up from the very beginning - thank you. We ask that you continue to pray for the transitions and the journey ahead.
Proverbs 24:3-4
“By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are fill with rare and beautiful treasures”.

Last night, our youth had the opportunity to create small gifts for their mums and write heartfelt Mother’s Day cards in their own words. They were reminded that no amount of money or finest gifts in the world can compare to a mother’s love - it truly is the thought that counts.
Together, we shared about how a mother’s love reflects the love and grace of God. Just as God loves us unconditionally, a mother’s love is steadfast and enduring, carrying us through challenges and mirroring His divine grace.
While some of our youth had to leave early and others couldn’t attend due to other commitments, those who were able to be there genuinely enjoyed expressing their love through creativity and thoughtful words. It was a special evening filled with gratitude, reflection, and appreciation for the powerful love that mothers give so freely.
❤️ Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mums - we are so thankful for you ❤️

He hōnore, he korōria ki te Atua.
He maungārongo ki te whenua.
He whakaaro pai ki ngā tāngata katoa.
Hangā e te Atua he ngākau hou
ki roto, ki tēnā o mātou.
Whakatōngia tō Wairua Tapu,
hei awhina, hei tohutohu I a mātou,
hei ako hoki I ngā mahi mō tēnei rā.

Āmine.

Honour and glory to God.
Peace on Earth.
Goodwill to all people.
Lord, create in us a new heart.
Fill each of us with Your Holy Spirit.
Help us and guide us
In all that we are to learn and do today.

Amen.

Tēnā koutou e te whānau,
Tumanako kei te pai katoa koutou.

Due to the Cyclone Vaianu warning, we had to cancel our church service today. We continue to pray in faith that everyone is safe and well during this time.
Our sister Susan Stobie from Wyndham City Salvos was prepared to deliver the message for us today. Although we were unable to gather in person, we praise God for showing us that there are many ways His message can still reach us.
Susan centred her message on “Grace” (“My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9), and I truly believe it is the right message for us during this season of hardship, challenges, and uncertainty. Her scripture readings were:

-Romans 5:8
-Ephesians 2:8-9
-2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Thank you, Susan for your beautiful message. It has been a blessing getting to know you and Brett. The Far North, Kaitaia Salvos will certainly miss you both.
May God guide you and protect you as you travel back to Australia next week. Please pass on our love to our brothers and sisters at Wyndham City Salvos.
May you go with God, as we remain with God.
