Hi all. Have just arrived in Colombo Sri Lanka for an International Christian Chamber of Commerce Asia Pacific regional conference starting tomorrow. Am here for a week then have 3 weeks in Kenya. Lifting Hands is now registered in Kenya as a training school so I need to meet the board and make sure everything is on track, also do some
LHF training and connect with many friends there. I then have a month in Zambia mainly doing local conferences and a leadership summit for our Central African leaders. Will do some Lifting Hands training also in Zambia. I am also a speaker at a large conference in Lusaka early August.

Hi all. Am in Nairobi Kenya having arrived here some 3 weeks ago. I had a couple of days orientation in a hotel next to Bishop Richard Isindu's church where I ministered that first Sunday in Syokimau near Nairobi airport. I then connected with another long time friend and leader for New Life Churches in Kenya Bishop Shimoli. Because of election issues and inauguration event we spent the first week in Webuye doing 4 days of meetings. Very open people hungry for the Word. After the Sunday it was on the road back to Nairobi arriving 1am. On the Monday it was a meeting with a local ministers fraternal {found out a first time attendee has a connection with a New Life pastor in NZ}. {Had some time with them and their church Monday this week}. Tuesday was inauguration day for the new president so meetings were not an option. I think the new president will do the nation good. It was an impressive God honouring occasion.
Wednesday was the beginning of a 5 day conference. Was great to have Pstr Jim Cairns and Jonah join us as well. Some good testimonies of healings from those meetings. The last 2 days have been vdays off. There was a bit of drama when my tablet decided to die on me - turned out it wasn't the battery but the motherboard. I was getting quite hot in top left corner and refused to recognise a flash drive and refused to charge. Looks like a replacement tablet in the interim and look at a repair job back home. It seems motherboards can be replaced relatively easily. Tomorrow I head for the western region to do a series of graduations for Lifting Hands students for a week then on to Uganda. Appreciate the prayers from wherever. Photo of pastors of a satellite New Life church. Bishop Shimoli in white

Hi all. I guess you all will be aware of this thing called Covid and the various government's response to it. Because of travel restrictions and issues surrounding lockdowns etc I will not be travelling to Africa this year. A first for 13 years. However in the meantime in Western Kenya there is a group of 40 pastors from 8 churches who have now completed the Foundations Level 1 and Leadership manuals and are looking for additional teaching. We are discussing with them the possibility of zoom teaching meetings to fill the gap until Levels 2 and 3 are done for the Foundation Series.
One advantage in delaying Africa for a year is that the finances can build up so that there is less of or no financial hole to fill on returning to NZ. Their lockdowns have gone on for much longer that ours especially in Uganda and the restrictions have made it difficult for churches to function as before. Some that have the capacity have utilised the internet for streaming and I have encouraged them to keep special efforts in communicating with their people by SMS, phone, Facebook messenger, whatever means they have available to them.
There is an invite for conferences and crusades in 5 locations in Sth Sudan in late Nov to mid Dec. which would be great to do but a lot depends on how the lockdown issues play out by that time. I envisage some relaxing by then but may not be sufficient so basically my thinking is for no travel this year. One could travel then find themselves locked down in that country for who knows how long because of a '2nd/3rd wave' unable to do anything and then there is the issue of quarantine on return which would add to the cost on top of exorbitant air fares at present. Having said all that - if the Lord clearly indicated to go then all issues are solved!!
Africa generally has done well with Covid compared with dire predictions made earlier and with many western countries when one compares the stats.
In the meantime we continue to pray and believe. We were reminded on Sunday that it's not the external issues we should be primarily concerned about but what is happening on the inside of us.
Blessings to all

Just looked and it was September last year since my last post!! Too long. A lot has happened since then. For those have not been in the loop since then - after Kampala I went to Adjumani in northern Uganda and ministered among several churches and a conference. Had a day ministering in a refugee camp nearby. Huge numbers of refugees from South Sudan have settled there. I understand some 300,000 in this area alone. A great time there. My South Sudan host connected with me there and we proceeded to South Sudan. Travel in Sth Sudan is quite different to other parts of Africa due to the fragile peace. Travel in convoy with military es**rt. Juba airport has to be most chaotic I have ever been in! Had a week in Yambio and Nzara - conference during the day and crusade in the evenings. I estimated 3,000 respond to the gospel in Yambio and another 1,000 in Nzara with a blind lady having her eyes opened. About twice that number attended the crusades.

Coming to more recent days - today (Apr 28th) I finally completed the Portuguese translation of my Leadership Manual thanks to assistance from Mr Google!! The Foundations Level 1 manual was done prior to my last trip to Africa and I was able to leave a digital copy with the Angolan leader last August. So as it stands now - both manuals have been translated into French(for DR Congo) and now Portuguese(for Angola). My next project is to complete Foundation Manuals Levels 2 and 3 and then translate them!.

Greetings all again from Kampala Uganda. After a couple of days off it was straight into a conference with Bishop Shimoli. Preached 13 times in 4 days. Then a lighter week a days travelling and preached 9 times in 3 days. Great minister among people who are hungry for teaching. Been thinking a bit more over the last few days about my purpose in being here. Many see the connection with the 'muzungu' as an opportunity to promote their ministry, get some prestige, and in some cases a potential financial resource. None of those reasons are why I am here. My heart is to add value to ministry here not to promote any particular ministry. On that score I am working less with those whose motives are not shifting to kingdom values. There are many who are keen to learn kingdom values and walk in them and those are the ones I will connect with more. After Nairobi I connected with a group of churches called Arise and Shine in Tongaren. Another group hungry for teaching. Kenya is generally further ahead in terms of kingdom practice in some areas of ministry.
Have had my visa for South Sudan approved - pick it up next week on my return from Fort Portal. Had to reshuffle meeting times in Kampala. Juggling meetings between several churches and connecting with different pastors can be challenging! Met with two yesterday after being at the South Sudan embassy. Also connected with an ICCC member. Had hoped to get to their breakfast today but will try next week. Photos are

Hi all. Since my last post have finished our 5 day national conference in Manyinga Zambia, Great time with some 400+ members coning from all over Zambia. It was encouraging to see the development of worship. Had a taste of cooked caterpillars! We then traveled to Kazombo Angola. My what a road. 4wd only. The main road from Zambia into Angola is a bush track. 5 hours to go 170kms. Although the war in Angola stopped a few years ago the effects of it is still very evident. Infrastructure is still lacking. No power in the city apart from that produced by local generators. Had leadership sessions in the morning then crusade in the evenings. Strong requests for more teaching. We then made our way to Arusha Tanzania for the first gathering of the leaders of New Life churches Africa. They came from Angola Zambia Uganda and Kenya. The Congo guys weren't able to come. Most of the leaders from Central Africa hadn't met the East African leaders. It was great to have Pstr Bruce M Donald from NZ with us as well as Pstr Jim Cairns. Pstr Rob Mcdonald had been traveling with me in Zambia and Angola and contributed at Arusha. Great to connect again with Alan Stephenson at En Gedi Joshua Foundation. Now having a couple of days off in Kayole Nairobi then back into it. Pictures from Angola.

What a great first 10 days. Three new churches started in a week!. Zambia is receiving Jesus big time! The first church started in Mufuliwanjamba the second Watopa then our first church in Western province in Lukulu. 15 people in the 1st, 15 in the 2nd and over 20 in Lukulu. Used crusades as the door opener. Although not big numbers as crusades go but great connections. The first church will be under an existing church along the road. The second already has a pastor who arrived there the week before. The third also has a mature pastor who has a burden to establish the church in Lukulu. After a couple of days we then start a national conference for all our churches in Zambia.
