Keep Claire in your prayers...
My first daffodil of the season has finally popped out! We have had the most beautiful weekend weather wise, sunny and warm days. It's finally starting to feel like winter is behind us. There was talk of getting sea level snow this weekend and being hammered by a storm, but absolutely none of that in sight! Yay!
Lately I have been really down, struggling alot with dialysis. I started Fridays session by just sobbing and sobbing because I really didn't want to do it. But it's not exactly something that's super flexible. Either you do it and live, or you stop doing it and you die. To put it bluntly.
Thankfully Hamish was home yesterday afternoon so we went for a drive out to Lyttelton port to check out some ships. We hit the jackpot too! Port was full with one leaving 🤓
After Fridays average session I decided to take the weekend off dialysis. I can do two day breaks, but any longer is very dangerous because toxins and fluid build up. I have been doing a short Sunday afternoon session for the last few weeks. But this weekend I just couldn't face it.
It has been the best decision though. This morning I went to the markets with a friend where we just talked and talked and sat in the sun. I also bought a plant 🤫 then I came home and did some much needed gardening. For the first time in ages I have felt calm. Semi normal. Content.
I am now shattered, but sometimes it's more important to take care of your mental health side because when that isn't good, nothing seems doable and ok. It's so important that we look after ourselves in every aspect. Even is that means just sitting in the sun doing nothing 💚
