Invercargill Adventist Church

Invercargill Adventist Church Our church exists to lead people in the city of Invercargill into a closer relationship with Jesus.

We are happy that you have chosen to learn more about the Invercargill Seventh-day Adventist Church, our doors are always wide open to people from all backgrounds. Together, we're striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible-a church with relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those in need. In short, we'd like to have

the kind of contagious Christianity that can influence and encourage the entire community, one life at a time. So whether you're a spiritual seeker who's just starting to ask questions about God, or a committed Christian who wants to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, you can find a home here at Invercargill Seventh-day Adventist Church. You'll find that this is a place where you really matter-because you matter to God. As you get to know us better, you will discover that we come from different backgrounds but are united by our love for God, our desire to learn more about the Bible and our willingness to serve other people.

2 YEARS!!

It's now been two whole years since we shifted to our new location at 21 Durham Street. How has it gone so quickly?

What do you think things will look like 2 years from now?

Revelation 7:9 I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.

What a taste of Heaven we got to experience today! Sharing, music, prayer and stories from every corner of the earth.

We love how multicultural our church family is and we know that although we come from different backgrounds, cultures and situations we are all one in Christ! ☝️ Praise be to God!

Jesus is at the heart of all we do at Invercargill Adventist Church.

This beautiful mural - a reminder of that - can be seen in the hallway of our worship centre at 21 Durham Street and was created by the artist Serv1 (aka. Pr Tulaga Aiolupotea😁)

God has been good.
God is still good.
And God will be good tomorrow too. 🤍

We are so proud of the students at Southland Adventist Christian School for sharing Jesus through song at the Miharo Murihiku Polyfest 2026 and being such a beautiful witness to the Invercargill community.

“Whakaaria mai, tou ripeka ki au
Tiaho mai, ra roto i te po

Show your cross to me
Let it shine there in the darkness”

As a school we are immensely proud of our students who performed at Polyfest this morning. To hear them worship the Lord in this way and in doing so shine light in our community is something very special!

Thank you to our community for showing up and supporting our students - they felt like celebrities with everyone watching and cheering them on. We also appreciated those parents who helped transport students to and from the event.

Thanks also to our amazing team who worked behind the scenes to make this happen. Our Polyfest leader Mrs Smales who organised everything, Tulua for teaching our senior girls their dance, Mrs Henry and Mrs Hansen for the music, Mrs Aiolupotea for leading the sasa, Mrs Boekhout for sewing costumes and all our other staff who supported in other ways - we couldn’t do it without you!

To God be the Glory!
