He Reo Powhiri mo te Hui Whakapumau 2026

He reo Powhiri tenei ki a koutou e nga Pou o te Haahi, nga Apotoro, nga Awhina, Roopu Raupo, nga mena kaihapai o Nga Reo, Takutaimoana Koea, nga Komiti Haahi me nga wehewehenga Morehu katoa ki hui tahi ai ki Te Pa o Ratana ki "te Whakapumau te kororiatanga o Ihoa".

Hui Whakapumau will be held over the weekend of the 5th July 2026, at Te Wharekura Morehu o Ratana, Kiatere Street, Ratana Pa. Details are as follows:

Accommodation: Accommodation will be available at Whangaehu Marae, Whangaehu Beach road and will be available from Friday night 3rd of July 2026. There will be a powhiri early Friday evening. Confirmation of time to follow. We ask that you email [email protected] confirming your Accommodation numbers ASAP. Accommodation request will close one week prior to Hui Whakapumau. Everyone must bring there own linen and pillows.

Meals: all meals will be provided at Ratana pa from Saturday 4th starting with breakfast at Te Wharekura Morehu o Ratana. Ratana Komiti Marae will post meal times. If you are staying elsewhere other than Whangaehu your meals will be at Ratana.

Hui Whakapumau start time: The Hui will start at 10am Saturday 4th July at Te Wharekura Morehu o Ratana.

Te Tari a te Haahi: a space will be set aside for Te Tari o te Haahi for general inquiries and Tohu sales at Te Wharekura Morehu o Ratana.

Parking: Parking is not available at the Kura. We ask that kaumatua are dropped off at the kura then all vehicles parked in front of Temepara. This is so residence dont get blocked to and from their properties. Ratana Komiti Marae will coordinate with nga Katipa.

Connectivity: there is no connectivity available for our people to use. Please ensure you have your devices topped up.

Our first Whakamoemiti for 2026 will take place at Waahi Pa marae, 11 am on Sunday 22nd of February

Tuatoru have confirmed also their attendance.

Followed by Both Komiti Haahi and Whāiti hui.

Please bring a plate for shared Kai.
