St Mary's Anglican Church Hāwera St Mary's Anglican Church Hawera has been a landmark in Hawera for over 100 years. A new roof and some external work is currently underway.

St Mary's Anglican Church has been a significant presence in Hawera for the last 150 years with the current building standing for over 120 years. After a short time closed due to earthquake risk now remedied, we are now open again for all services. Timesd for our church services can be found on the website www.anglicanswaitotara.org.nz but are generally held 10am Thursdays, and 10am on first and t

hird Sunday's of each month. There is also an 8am service on first Sunday. During the week the church is often open for visitors to view the stained glass windows and for quiet reflection. St Mary's is a beautiful church and is perfect for Weddings and funerals. We can seat 250-300 people. A pipe organ is available. A large lounge (formerly St James' Mokoia) is available for llight refreshments. For more details contact the office via our email.
