As we prepare to move to a new building in a new location, recover with us the importance of relationship-building as a first priority.

Jon Coursey & family join us from Hope Rolleston, as they enjoy a break here in stunning Hawea for the week.
Here's a bit from Jon for tomorrow..

Kia ora! We’re the Coursey family - Jon, Anna, Ava (16), Violet (14), and Charlotte (9). We live in Lincoln, just outside Christchurch, and are really looking forward to spending some time in beautiful Lake Hāwea!

Jon is the Assistant Pastor at Hope Presbyterian Church in Rolleston. After 20 years working in marketing, he felt God calling him into ministry about eight years ago and eventually took the leap into pastoral ministry.

Anna is an artist who loves sharing her creativity with others through the children’s art classes she runs in Lincoln. Ava and Violet are both at Lincoln High School, while Charlotte attends Lincoln Primary. Ava has a real love for all things Japanese and is excited to be heading to Japan on a scholarship in January. Violet loves surfing at Sumner beach, and Charlotte is a keen little artist, just like her mum!

None of us have been to Lake Hāwea before, so we're excited to discover this beautiful part of the country, enjoy some slower days together by the lake, and hopefully soak up a bit of sunshine!

We're also really looking forward to meeting you all, sharing in worship together, and enjoying some time with your church family. Thanks so much for welcoming us!

Jess Dreadon & family join us at Hawea church, to share about life in the big city! Jess is pastor at Hope church Rolleston, and will be sharing about Conflict 😬

//What if conflict could actually be an opportunity? Most of us would rather avoid conflict at all costs. But what if, handled well, conflict could create creative tension — making room for new ideas, deeper understanding and even greater intimacy? In Acts 15:36–41, Paul and Barnabas have a sharp disagreement that leads them in different directions. It’s messy, uncomfortable… and yet God continues to work. This Sunday, Jess is speaking from this very real conflict and exploring what it means for the church today to become people who don’t run from tension, but learn to navigate it with humility, honesty, grace and love. Come along and join us as we discover what God might want to form in us through the tensions we’d rather avoid.//

Worship on Sunday is Combined Hawea & Wanaka Church's in Wanaka - 94 Tenby St at 10am. Including special combined kids church programme. Worship will include hightlighting some areas of Ministry and our Annual Meeting to be followed by Soup & Buns Lunch (soups & buns provided). Please bring finger food to share.
