Okay Hawke's Bay - RD9ers - B2Bers - FB Land observers and those that love architecture, farming, history, military history as well as all the 'stuff' that I regularly badger you with to help and support me about because, you know, it's not like I've a shortage of things to do, right?
It was the Lovely man that first said, WE should do this, meaning, well you should, Deb because I don't really use FB - and could you, so of course, darling light of my life, of course!
We attended a meeting last year about this stunning little chapel that for our family is our tūrangawaewae, as indeed it will be for many of you also.
Gifted to the Anglican Church over 100 years ago this Memorial Chapel will never be 'let down' by the Church, BUT - it's expensive to insure this holy and special place and to keep it looking amazing and, while we all expect to be able to use it and want to see it utilised... the collection plate isn't going around regularly out here.
Thank you already to all those that volunteer their time and energy in and around the Church and keep it looking amazing.
Last year when the costs to insure came up, we just said, this is terrible, we'll pay the bill, this year we said... actually, we really believe that people will want to contribute to looking after this very special building.
That it is a significant place of historical interest.
So please share far and wide and make your deposits directly to the account in this photo post from this page only from Reverend Burnett.
Because I'm equal parts boots and all let's do this and wary of the interwebs, the support letter attachment has the lovely Vicar's signature obliterated, but rest assured the very nice Vicar is 100% excited about the potential of genuine support and interest.
Please use this page to check in to the church - share your memories and photographs - and stories and, get to know your neighbours and the people from this part of the world.
Thanks in advance, Love yahs!
