Take time each day to read from the incredible word of God. You may be surprised at what God will show you. Read by yourself, read with your bubble, your choice. Just get into the word! You have so much truth just sitting there! Te word of God is siting there! Open it up! Let it fill you up! God Bless you!

I am alive because He lives
(Because He lives - west coast choir)

I was listening to this song the other day called “Because He lives”. It is similar to an old hymn I used to sing at church but this is newer and different and it got me thinking. I was thinking about how when people sacrifice themselves for others, they would say something like I am alive because they died. They made a sacrifice for someone else. But with Jesus, we are alive because He lives. He died for us but this statement carries the incredible fact that if Jesus had just died on the cross and not come back to life, we would not be here. We would not have a hope. The way to heaven would not have been paved for us. Jesus would not be waiting for us in heaven right now. The song says “Because He lives, I can face tomorrow, Because He lives, every fear is gone, I know He holds my life, my future in His hands”. We have hope in Jesus because He is alive. We have hope in a savior who is living! We are trusting in someone who is alive. Not only that but we have hope in someone who came back to life.How crazy is that. We put the hope of our future into the hands of someone so powerful that they came back to life and now lives eternally in Heaven. We can face tomorrow in the certainty that Jesus is alive and has gone before us. We do not need to live in fear because He lives. He is always with us. Remember the hope you have in Jesus because of His actions on the cross and in the grave. Jesus died for our sins. He paid the ultimate price. Then He didn’t stay dead, He came back to life and beat death. He won that battle for us. We are alive because He lives.

The garden of Gethsemane reveals an incredible picture of our Jesus. Fully human, and fully God.

Christ Jesus:
‘Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.’
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:6-11‬ ‭

How can it be that God would humble Himself for us? How can it be that He would love us? Die for us?

There no stability in this world.
I am realizing this more and more. The only thing we can rely on is God and the hope He gives us. There is nothing in this world that we can put our trust in. Basic things that we take for granted like the outside, getting groceries, being able to visit friends and family or even just being able to go home. A place that you can trust and always go to to feel comfortable and safe. Even that is not something we can trust and rely in the world today. I encourage you to trust in what you can trust in and that is God. Use the time you have been given to remember that He is Lord. Take time to 'be still and know that He is God'. Put your trust in Him. When you try to rely on things of this world, of things that you think will comfort, you will be disappointed. God is the one who can comfort you and give you peace. Put your trust in Him and He will never let you down. He may show up in ways that you never imagined or expected, but He is always there for you.
Praise the Lord.
